Since we were only going to be in Softland for a short time, I thought I’d smoke some of their White Widow to get me nice and high for the trek I was about to make to the other side of the city. Turns out I should of smoked a little more.

From: Softland (Coffee Shop – Amsterdam)
Grade: B+
Type: Hybrid
Price: Appx. $13/G
Looks: Very small, light/whispy buds. Nothing to write home about.
Smell: Very potent spicy smell.
Taste: Very similar to the smell. Tasted a lot like the Lamb’s Bread I had a while back.
Buzz Type: Not 100% sure on the buzz as I could tell it was pretty weak bud and decided to smoke something a little more potent right after. Guessing it was typical Widow buzz. Kind of active with no burnout.
Buzz Length: Short.
Overall: Again, another poor example of a strain that is suppose to be hands down, one of the best you can smoke. We’ll see if I can find the real deal in the very near future.
Buzz Report: As I said, I don’t think I can give a 100% accurate buzz report because I ended up smoking some L.A. Confidential right after smoking the White Widow to ensure a good buzz. –Chubbs

Nice Review Chubbs, White widow is a classic but the thc percentage is pretty low like 12-13%. I can see why you went right to the LA.

have to agree, the flavor is nice, and it almost stays around longer than most taste/smell…but…its not very strong and I find myself needing a kush strength strain to mix in.
To be honest it doesn’t look like any widow i’ve ever seen. Looks very poorly grown out. It looks like the bud is lacking trichs.
That small nug looks really airy. Any cannabis grown correctly will be pretty dense. That is why dealers deal by weight and not mass.
growing up i always thought amsterdam bud was nothing but bomb. this is a clear example of why chubbs called them out and told them to step up their game. simply unacceptable
This review should be in the Dispensaries or a new Cafe category. The review is about the poor product Softland is serving its customers and not the White Widow I’m familiar with.There could be a lot of explanations for your poor experience at Softland. Old, poorly stored/handled, unskilled growers, and finally, the Old Switcharoo. I assure readers that if properly grown, harvested, and cured, White Widow is one of the best strains available. I think Chubb may have been a tourist chump that was ripped off by a less than scrupulous Cafe.
