Shortly after posting my story about the CHP yesterday I was contacted by organizers of this weekends THC Expo in Los Angeles and was asked if I would please give a 15 minute presentation on the internet and how it relates to not only medical marijuana, but the every day stoner as well.
Of course I excepted and will be speaking on both Saturday and Sunday (June 13-14) at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. If you are at the show come by and say “high”! 
The THC Expo, for those who don’t know, is a HUGE event taking place this weekend at the L.A. Convention Center in downtown L.A. at the exact same time as Erotica L.A. (also in the L.A. Convention Center)
The Expo is a business to consumer trade show (businesses showing off their new stuff to everyday Joe’s) being organized by Brian Roberts and Todd McCormick.
Rumor has it they have spent almost $500k of their own money putting the THC Expo together and are expecting a packed house.
From what I have been told there is going to be just about every kind of weed related business under 1 roof all selling their wares.
I’m talking about seed companies from Amsterdam, clone banks, medical marijuana dispensaries, growers, Dutch coffee shops etc.
The show floor has been divided into the following categories:
- Media Entertainment
- Culture
- Art
- Cosmetics
- Hemp
- Foods
- Utensils
- Doctors / Attorneys
- Grow
- And a HUUUUGE section for “clubs”
If you are even remotely close to the Los Angeles area this weekend and smoke weed, take the time to come by and check out the THC Expo.
Trust me when I tell you this will be the best $10 you have spent in a long time.
Ticket Price is $10 each day at the door. ($20 for both days)
Like I said, I will be hanging out at the show both days and have even got a room at one of the closet hotels in case anyone wants to put together an impromptu session. –Chubbs

I live right next to the convention center so I’m seriously thinking about going. I heard there isn’t any actual medicine there though, so I imagine there’s going to be a lot of ‘improptu sessions’!

serious question Chubbs. I just started growing outside as well as inside. My wife recently got her card THANK GOODNESS and she wants to grow outside organic only. What chemicals and nutrients would recomend and where might I get these? I live in the southbay, b ut willing to travel wherever. Just brand name of products would be great thanks.

I guess theres no chemicals in organic so I dont mean to sound dumb but this is an area that Im new at and need a little help.
google subcool he has a organic mix that works well all you have to do is water it.
valluco; good lookin out also does it matter when you transfer the small plant into the larger pot,or does it need to be a certain height?

The show was fantastic! I was impressed with the professionalism of the convention, and everyone who attended was on their best behavior.
It was great to see so many lovers of the herb in one place and all being great to each other.

i gotta agree with WildWill … the expo was awesome. scored a $180 phx bong for $100 with case, shirt, lighter pocket, and locks as well as came home with armfulls of schwag (mags, stickers, rolling papers, etc..). just wish i had more cash on hand as i was salivating at the bongs with percs and filters. the gravitron was a trip too ($60 at the expo – i would have probably got this too if i had more cash). the hydro and gentetics booths were mad crazy. i’ve never seen stuff like that before on this kind of scale. all i kept saying and thinking is; “WOW!”
chubbs gave a good speech and i was lucky enough to meet him due to perfect timing. hey chubbs … i’ll be in touch shortly, probably after i return from san francisco in a few weeks
reading one of the mags i got, it looks this will be a yearly event which is cool. so, my advice to everyone is attend this expo if it is a yearly event. most of the vendors were selling stuff at wholesale cost and/or much cheaper vs. online and retail stores. at the gotvape booth i heard the dude there say the volcano was selling for $500. not as great as deal as the bong peeps (40+% off retail) but, still $99 or so less than retail if in the market for this. plus, all prices were out the door (no taxes). so, GO GO GO and bring CASH CASH CASH.
you won’t regret it. great crowd, great attitudes, great times…

Awesome! The Expo was the coolest thing I’ve done all year.
Did you guys see the harvesting machines and Advanced Nutrients booth? Hell, that wasn’t even really a booth, more like a mini Expo inside the Expo!
I wish the nutes they had on display had been available for sale.
That was the best show I’ve been to, I was there both days. I picked up allot of literature, I really likes a magazine I picked up called Culture Medical Marijuana Mag. It was a GREAT read!
