New MR member ‘rl1cool‘ sent in this review of some Snowcap, a great sativa that from what I have heard, is a beast. –Chubbs
Snowcap is one of the better strains I have smoked. It is not to say that I have been smoking for a long time, but it is not everyday that I find a bud that gets me high for as long as this did.
I believe a bit in the quality of the grower having a lot to do with the quality of the smoke. I know that the genetics are also very important, and in that regard I think Snowcap’s are perfection.
Snowcap is a Sativa hybrid (parentage unknown, but I hear it was created in Humboldt) that gets you nice and body high as well as mental high/uplift. Snowcap gave me some serious munchies the first time I smoked it.
The buzz is very long, up to 2.5 hours. I love to smoke Snowcap in my bong, but would really like to try it in a vape. The smoke in the bong was still very clean and tasty. It just tasted like nice weed. There was no harshness or resin buildup on my lips (sometimes when I hit a bong with some lower quality weed I get a nasty resin on my lips……weird I know!).
The nugs are nice lime green with some darker leaves. Trichomes are visible on the outside of the nugs, yet most reside on the inside. They are covered in orange pistils all over the outside.
Snowcap smelled amazingly strong and rich almost like butter, but slightly sweet. T got this herb from a private dealer. I paid $100 for a quarter.
Overall I would highly recommend Snowcap to anyone looking for a good mental up high, and/or anyone that has any type of pain. It has been shown that sativas are actually better for pain management. Sorry all you indica lovers.

Very nice. The more I browse the site the more familiar buds i find that look nothing like the bud I’ve had! The snowcap I had a few months ago was a white/silver color, and had a very unique smell. You can look forward to my first review soon, just as soon as I get my camera working.

I used to grow only Snowcap. About 7 years ago. We basically started this in and around Fort Bragg, CA. Mendocino Co. Baby! All hydro, and we produced a lot of clones. This strain will benifit anyone, and will remain at the top of my favorite buds. How I wish I had some now. PEACE
I known the lineage of snowcap, it was created in my hometown. It was a complicated breed, but basically it is trainwreck x salmon creek big bud. And it was bred in Mendo, not Humboldt.

I have to disagree with this review…sativas are better for pain than indicas? really? you want to break down what TYPE OF PAIN? As someone who suffers mightily from neuropathic pain, I can safely say sativas not only do VERY little to stop that kind of pain, but they also increase spasms etc…Indica’s=end all be all for nerve pain. Sativas have their role, but I cant sit here and pretend that the statement is remotely close to fact.
the link I have, shows neuro pain patients claiming to ONLY use indicas…
just saying to claim sativas are better for pain…its just not true, too many diff types of pain, even joint pain is relieved by indicas better.
other than that, all good, I like snowcap, just not as a neuro pain reliever,
Snowcap is great stuff but the samples we get in So Cal smell more like ginger than butter. Fantastic, positive, uplifting high. Takes away depression.

snowcap is the best wake n bake strain of all time. it gives you so much energy, tastes exactly like fruit loops, and the smoke does a great job at clearing your sinuses.
we get this stuff where im from. has a real distinct smell and taste. one of my personal favorites
mine seem almost identical to this. good strain- a great daytime smoke. I love the subtlety of the smell and taste and how smooth the hit is. also gave the vape a go and the sweet butter flavor really came out lasting in my mouth long after my session was over. maybe I’ll do a review on a few of the strains I’ve been getting here in minnesota.

That doesn’t really look like snowcap to me. The hairs are darker on all the snowcap I’ve smoked and sold.
so, rl1cool, snowcap? just so you know, out of a vape it is wonderous by the way. just did it. haha and i agree it has a very sweet smell–the closest to bubblegum ive smelt. the nugs are extremely dense and perfect. my buddy and i acquired a half-oz for 130. worth every penny since today is 4.20. happy blizazing.
missed out on this last week unfortunately i always try and jump on strains i dont get so see and i have a feeling i wont see it again for some time. Luckily theres plenty of other girls to take my mind of her

this snowcap strain looks proper. ive seen it listed on some dispensaries, but this is the best looking example that ive seen.
had snowcaps when i went to visit cali weird kind of uppers high. I wouldn’t say the buzz was two and a half hours long though. more like 45 min to an hour, but i do smoke a lot. as always, tastes best out of an original swisher.
i think i got a bogus strain. smelled right and was a heavy producer, but turned out airy and kind of dirty tasting. ended up with a lot of hash material. tried a few different samples of cap from the clubs they always seems a bit different, but i’ve gotten a hold of some that was just a rockin high. interesting taste. not planning on growing this again
This is definitely one of my favorite strains. Very, very nice. No doubt about it. The sample I picked up from a local dispensary here in Denver was medium sized, super dense, compact nuggets of pure goodness. Covered in white trichomes and solid as a rock. When I cut into the nugs they broke open like pieces of candy. I use some of the shake to add some substance to some honey oil I had and a small bowl in the bong lasted FOREVER!!! The rest I vaporized in my DBV.
Some of the best looking and best smoking material I’ve come across in my 20 years of puffin’! A++
