Taking 3rd place in the import hash category at the 2008 Cannabis Cup was an incredibly potent, beautiful entry called Shiraz from Amnesia coffee shop. Take a look.
Name: Shiraz
From: Amnesia (Coffee Shop – Amsterdam)
Grade: A-
Type: Polm I believe. Imported from Africa I am told.
Price: Appx. $16/G
Looks: Nice light brown, bordering on red. Semi compressed and very sticky.
Smell: Like normal hash which is flowers with some incense mixed in. Shiraz also had a little bit of a chocolate smell to it.
Taste: Smooth, light smoke that never made me cough. Very nice.
Buzz Type: Hard hitting face warming type of buzz. I bought a glass pipe just for this hash and it was definitely a wise purchase.
Buzz Length: Medium. About 1.5 hours. Not quite as long as some of the other hash varieties I smoked.
Overall: For the price I think Shriaz is a great deal. In my opinion it earned the 3rd place trophy it was awarded.
Buzz Report: One of the many ways to start the morning right in Amsterdam is to head over to Amnesia and fire a gram or 2 of Shiraz. With it’s energetic buzz it’ll get you going. –Chubbs

Saul: Last Nov. was my 1st trip to Amsterdam. I am planning another one for this Nov at which time I will be deciding whether or not to stay for a while.

Since many readers are in A-dam for the Cannabis Cup anyway, I am going to be organizing a meet up. It’s still a ways away + I don’t have 100% of the details nailed down yet which is why I have not mentioned it.
1.5 hours is like nothing for hash. Hash gets me going for at very least 2 hours. At least know I know that the hash from shiraz is going to be good.
You gotta love that smooth hash, with the perfumey floral smell, I wish I had access to me hash in general, I make it every once and a while but of course nothing like this fine looking stuff right here.
