Comments:Sharpstone grinders can be found at most headshops and all over online.They are very similar to the typical generic metal grinders. While the craftsmanship is lacking a bit, this grinder is definitely durable.
The blades dulled quickly, but still do their job effectively.
I have not had to clean the grinder a single time since I purchased it. Un fortunately the kief screen is not the best and seems to let a bit of foliage debris through.
The edges of the grinder are not smoothed down and sometimes lightly cut my fingers. Not deep enough to draw blood, but still annoying.
Another problem I’ve had with this grinder was small metal shavings coming off and mixing in with my bud. I ground up quite a bit of tobacco just to try and get all of those loose shavings off. Eventually they stopped coming off but I was still frustrated with it. It’s not the best grinder in the world but it does it’s job and for the price is a good value. –Drewzilla484

I use to have this same grinder and had the same issues with the metal shavings. I have much less patience though and trashed it after 2 uses. –Chubbs

I just bought the same one at Zenergy (Woodland Hills Dispensary) for $40, looks like they overcharged. I have only used my about 10 times and haven’t had any problems with metal shavings, but from your review it might be the case that I’ll have to invest a little more $ for a more durable grinder if I start to have problems with my sharpstone

Good review, I’ve been looking to invest in a new grinder for awhile and will definitely steer clear of this one.
i have the same grinder and although i’ve never had shavings in my herb, i do have a complaint about the bottom of the 3rd chamber, the o ring under the kief screen holding it in place. don’t slam this grinder too hard to try and shake some extra kief through because you’ll end up breaking that ring, happened to me on two occasions so beware
I have this grinder too, and honestly, I love it. No metal shavings in mine, and it gets the job done.
I just gotthis to forty dollars today I had another one dr a able and honestly i’ve had no problems only the first one I had was smaller an it cut my finger occasionally. these grinders work amazing I’ve had them for quite a while
I have this grinder… and yeah the keif screen fell outta mine too… I put it back and tacked it down with some clear nail polish… I’ve also broke 3 teeth on it… it’s not terrible for the money but I really miss my space case!
I wouldn’t single out the grinder because of the shavings lot’s of pipes and other things from headshops are crudely made and even made in china. The last 2 pipes I bought I had to go through and clean out with a q-tip to get all the shavings out. I guess what’s a lil iron in your diet-lol
After reading posts about grinders I thought I would go for the Space Case but nobody in town carried them so I went with the sharp stone. You are right it does have small pieces of metal on the teeth so I did like I do with all my metal pipes when I buy them and took a q-tip. The bitch of the thing is I dropped it on my bathroom floor even befor I could use it and put a dent in the keif holder. After cleaning it I have had little problem so far with the thing. If that changes I will put up another post but up til now I’m pretty happy.
WAIT TILL WEED IS DRY N THEN GRIND IT N SHIFT IT WITH A FINGER IN CIRCLE MOVEMENT MAKE SURE UR GRINDING THE WEED UNDER UR FINGER DUMP OUT THE WEED N CHECK THE KEIF PART REPEAT N U’LL FIND THAT U R MAKING ALOT ..U CAN EVEN REUSE SAME WEED U GRINDED UP FIRST TIME AGAIN
I just bought this grinder and know someone else who has one, and I have found no metal shavings at all in mine, and neither has the other person I know with it. This is grinder honestly works amazing and catches a ton of keif, much more so then other grinders I have had in the past.
Mendo Mulcher and Kannastor are the best grinders out there..check em out
Sharpstone did a nice job with this grinder! It quickly kicked my old one out, taking the place of my Chromium Crusher (which still wasn’t too bad either). What I liked most was the bottom kief catcher had the smaller metal woven netting so it caught only the finest kief! I was a little disappointed though, when I found out Sharpstone made a 5 piece grinder with an “ultra fine” 2nd keif catch to match.
Been using mine for a while now and it hasn’t failed me yet. A Space Case is my next upgrade though. Nothing wrong with the best of the best, right?
As for the Sharpstone though, I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for something more affordable than a Space Case.
I have a space case when I bought mine about 6 years ago it was 50 dollars for the medium size pretty pricey compared to most grinders i see on the market….maybe it was because they weren’t real popular at the time IDK
metal shavings?? are u serious?! idve done what chubbs did and totally trashed it. 25$ is no loss
