I stumbled across this place while very, very stoned in Amsterdam at the 2008 Cannabis Cup and as soon as I laid eyes on the Resin sign above the door I knew I was in for a surprise.
As you walk in there is a large room, (pure only) with the weed counter towards the back. If you venture further you’ll find another room complete with a pool table and a large flat screen tv, which happened to be playing Teletubbies (not good when you are smoking some of Amsterdam’s finest).
There is also an upstairs filled with stools, tables and chairs, enough seating for large groups.
Now to the best part, the weed. Although I did not try all the strains they had to offer I did manage to tackle most.
NYC, a mellow smoke with a lovely grape taste and aroma.
AK47 is a heavy smoke that is so thick that it’s almost harsh.
The Resin Haze has an immediately uplifting high and is some of the haziest bud I have ever laid eyes on.
And last but certainly not least is the Triple X. This weed was your typical skunky bud, very dense and smelled majorly cheesy. It tasted thick and skunky. The effect? Well, on my second visit I ordered a gram of this, skinned up, felt a nice instant buzz with a little more body than mind but still lingers in the head.
5 minutes passed and I thought I’d try another so as I reach for the paper this stuff kicked me in the head with a sort of high that is so good it is uncomfortable.
As for the strains I did not get to try, I am sure they are just as high in quality. (White Widow and Cheese).
No, I did not roll up another, I left for the hotel. So if you are in Amsterdam please head up to Resin, you will not be disappointed. –Dambuster

I’ve been to this place a bunch times. Buds aren’t the best but it is very spacious and the staff are usually friendly. They also have computers with internet for a couple euro. In a good location about 5 minutes from central station and 5 minute walk to Amnesia and Grey Area
Personally I didn’t rate this too much. We went in, was full of “youths” in the back smoking room. Which smelt of low grade hash, my friend bought some to my discouragement but he couldn’t resist. Was some of the most fakest manufactured hash i’ve ever had lol. As bad as the crap I got from the Greenhouse 2. However the front room was very large (yet empty) and spacious. Back smoking room was a little claustrophobic with mirrors everywhere to help increase the size. I’m not sure if i’d go back!
This place is apparently closed, dont know if thats for good or just a refurb.
Maybe not as great as the greenhouse or barneys but I was slightly dissapointed with the bubblegum in greenhouse (only because it had no sweet smell or taste) and as for barneys I expected a bit more from the laughing buddha quite a bland taste and not a great effect but it was very busy so didnt get the chance to try anything else.
Damn 4 grades 73mu my fav. nice selection hash(weed menu weak). WHY cant we in cali get products like these no bho extraction just good quality fm hash.Hash,Kiefs, resins not as popular in the states as Europe too bad. They are my fav

Yep its closed, for shame
@Another Mike: Wow, that sucks.
Resin was one of my favorite coffeeshops to visit when i was in the Dam in Oct of 07. I smoke the HP-13 fresh off the plane and it was a very nice uplifting high. The people in my group loved the fact that they could get on the net for only a couple of euros and check on things back in the states. This coffeeshop though hasnt closed down, I am headed to the 2009 cup only 48 days away and they are one of the 26 shops that have entered.
Resin is up in running… with swings and all!! best place I have ever been… It’s all green lighted and stuff! you get stoned before smoking.. It is not closed, they were probably just renovating… it’s totally different compared to two years ago. they’ve been chosen “the best designed coffeeshop of 2010″ not really a surprise considering the fact they have swings lol…. even the menu is different. and it’s very central, i’ll def. go back dude
@Yousra: Hmm. I am actually looking forward to stopping by and checking them out later this year.

Well… As for the people that have smoked at resin in the past they will be happy to hear that it is NOT!! closed down. The menu isnt that selective but the strains they do have for sale are good… i only got to try the white widow and the super lemon haze but both wer top notch!!.. Expecially the lemon haze!! an incredible buz and a superb high!! The staff are happy and cheerfull and helped us pick out our smoke.. Emptied our ash trays and made sure we were comfortable… The atmosphere was good!!.. they had all the latest RnB and dance tunes playing with a bit of funky house thrown in.. We found ourselves returning the next day and just before we departed for the airport for one final Doooooobie!!! 10/10 for Looks/Service and most importantly SMOKE!! =] Would recommend to anyone
G-Day …Does the “Resin” coffee shop have an e-mail address?
