Its was recently decided that the highway patrol, as long as paperwork is in order and your not high, that they will follow state law and let you go. The doctor told me not to eory about that so I had my Georgia liscence on my rec papers. As soon as my Liscence came in the mail I went back down to the office and got my California liscence put on my rec. The downside of having an out of state liscence is only a handful of clubs wil take your recomendation until you have a California state ID. So your answer is right away dont wastetime freedom is right around the corner. You will never regret the move.
