If I were to make a list of the top 10 strains that I would like to see an organic version of, Mr. Nice would definitely be included. Amanda sent us this review a while back of just such an herb.

Looks: The buds themselves were dark green and surprisingly heavy given how fluffy they look to the eye. They were covered in orange hairs and sprinkled with purple. The buds burn evenly and hit smoothly.
Smell: Slightly like citrus with lemon undertones.
Taste: The taste is very light, as though there is no taste at all other than a slightly sweet aftertaste.
Buzz Type: Relaxing body stone with some thought disturbances.
Buzz Length: Long. 2-3 hours.
Overall: Organic Mr. Nice gave me a strong body high with very foggy thoughts. Immediately after hitting the bong I became uncoordinated, discombobulated and confused. It was almost impossible to imagine that I would be able to successfully complete any task, including walking to the kitchen, packing another bowl or even turning on the TV. My muscles were so relaxed that they would not respond appropriately to the tasks at hand and I experienced a very strong couch lock.
The immediate overwhelming body high wore off within thirty minutes and left me with a much more mellow, relaxing high where I was free to be alone with my own thoughts. The high turned highly introspective and it was hard to comprehend any outside influences or anything else that could have been going on. I was only able to concentrate on the feelings and thoughts that were going through my mind. I would simply ignore things being said to me and comment on the things that I was thinking about.
For me it was not surprising when the high headed south. For some reason the budtender’s don’t always seem to believe me when I describe some of the experiences I have from certain strains (increased paranoia from a heavy indica) and convince me to try strains that won’t be right for me anyway. I know that some of my experiences are shared as my friend and I, who smoke the same strains, feel the same effects. Please don’t get me wrong, the high was very relaxing, every muscle in my body felt stretched out and completely relaxed, but the emotional side of the high was depressing, dark and occasionally frightening.
Organic Mr. Nice also increased my sense of vision and hearing, which in turn added to my paranoia. Now not only was I paranoid by the thoughts that were running through my mind, but my increased senses caused me to jump at every unknown sound and notice every change in lighting. In the end, I spent so much time focused on was I was hearing and seeing and convincing myself not to be frightened that I did not get to experience the upside from the high at all.
Once the paranoia and the negative effects passed, as it grew closer to the 2 hour mark, my body was relaxed enough that it overwhelmed my mind with the need for sleep. I did have a pleasant sleep, and while I could recommend this strain for someone who was experiencing insomnia or minor body aches, I will personally avoid smoking Organic Mr. Nice again as it is just not for me. –Amanda
Am I the only one that was salivating as they read the description of Amanda’s buzz? I can only wish/hope to get that high from smoking marijuana. I do understand were that heavy a buzz can be overwhelming but for me, it’s all good. Thanks for one of the best reviews I’ve read in a while. –Chubbs

very nice review amanda. I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy organic mr.nice, when i had it, they were huge buds that smelled and tasted like candy, one of my all time favorites
couldnt handle the bombness of mr nice. this bud should be an A+ and it was 40 bucks and 1/8 how can you beat that. when ppl tell me a bud makes them paranoid it makes me want it more because that just means its strong ass weed.
@herbavore: I still added it to the Top Picks but am not going to change the grade Amanda gave it.
I know what you mean chubbs, I dont get bugout high like this unless I havent smoke for a week and I start off on some 60%+ thc bubble hash haha. I would stick to the sativas/haze types Amanda.
meangreenmartian: Man the only break I’ve taken from herb in the last 20+ years was a 9 month break in late 2007/early 2008.
I hopped back on the horse by smoking a 2g FATTY of some killer sativa that I grew a while back and had stashed away in the vault.
OH MY GOD!! I was SHOCKED at how high I got. I literally was leaning to one side as I tried to walk down my hallway. It was RIDICULOUS. I was so high it scared me.
Then of course when I came down I did it all over again.

I do want to add, I did not smoke this after being on a tolerance break, this was actually lower quality weed than what I smoke daily – my tolerance is through the roof and was when I smoked this as well.
That being said, I am anxious to try this strain again to see if it really was the marijuana or just a combination of my state and this being the inappropriate weed for that time. I suspect the later.
LOL, i know what you mean chubbs. I’ll take a couple days off every other month just for that incredible high on the first smoke back. Nothing better then those overpowering scary highs.

@mark kinney: Honestly I’d move somewhere where medical marijuana has been legalized and go see a doc about a recommendation.
We do not help with the “ordering” of marijuana here be it medical or otherwise. Just here to provide quality reviews.
Medical MJ is “legal” on the state level in Michigan.. still that whole gray area issue with the damn feds but I haven’t heard of any trouble happening up there yet as their bill was just recently passed in the past year.
Also regarding Amanda’s review, do you have any history of using psychedelics that mr. nice or really anything happening at the time may have triggered / re-awakened some of these feelings that you described?
great point now that i think of that. i know ive used lsd in the past and have had flashbacks triggered by strong cannabis. i always seem to enjoy it when it happens though lol.
Grass Roots in San Francisco is one of my favorite clubs in the city. Their high end is incredible. If you’re in the area you should really look the place up.
I think it’s hard to specifically review an entire strain because every grower produces a different product. The potency, flavor, etc will all be affected differently by so many different factors: what generation the strain is (older generations being stronger), the growth medium (hydro/indo/etc), the harvesting/drying/curing process, and all the rest of that fun stuff. So you can smoke the same strain from different growing conditions and have totally different experiences and opinions of that strain. Even when you go to the same pharmacy,the strain can vary from visit to visit. I really think that all of these factors make it almost impossible to give accurate reviews of any strain. After purchasing Mr. Nice repeatedly at my favorite pharmacy, I bought a clone from them of that strain. My product reacted differently than theirs. Sometimes they recommend that strain, and sometimes they don’t recommend a particular batch. It seems that if you are going to review a strain, you have to have a lot of info about it’s origins so that others can make choices based on very specific reviews. For those of us who puff on more than we can afford…grow your own and adjust it until it’s just right for you personally!
So I read and analyze every review, and respect everyone’s opinion here. Unfortunately, my biggest problem is with you, AMANDA. While I enjoy your reviews on how detailed and thorough they are, I CANNOT stand your LONG and TEDIOUS Overall descriptions. It seems like you make the strain PERSONAL, and what I mean by that is instead of just describing the overall buzz you describe this long mental strain of what you are thinking about while you are high. But this is in NO way an attack on your reviews. Keep doing what you’re doing and smoke the best!

I Know im late, but a review is a review. Mr Nice: in my opinion is one of my favorites for Anxiety relief/Depression. Which is another reason for leaving my thoughts. When i first got a hold of some a couple months ago it did not have a name, Leaving me irritated that i would have a hard time finding her again.Well recently a more ‘Reputable Hookup’ Had a batch of Mr Nice, Pineapple Kush,& ECSD (east coast sour d)
& i got an eigth of Mr Nice & 8th Pineappple. I tried a bowl of the Pineapple & thought i fell in love. Very Stong indica stone,But increased anxiety & depression.
The Following Morning i smoke a bowl of Purple Mr Nice, & realized that this was the same ‘unknown’ i had seen potential in before. Kind of a Blueberry,Skunk,Fruit taste – And the High which to this day is one of my favorites, After 2 hits i felt an instant ‘Clear,Dreamy,Relaxed,Happy, Energetic High’ & my Anxiety & Depression were completely gone, but not leaving me in a state that i wanted to go watch tv & forget everything else going on around me too…which the Kush did. Mr Nice ‘Is My Favorite’ due to this reason. I can still function on it fine,almost better & i would much rather be able to smoke some Mr nice fruity purple pebbles, instead of the prescribed Xanax,Risperdal,etc for my Aniexty problems.If Only Texas would open prop 213,Mr Nice & others could save my life.
