A while back I had the idea of starting a medical marijuana delivery service in Orange County California called NUGGETRY.
After a great deal of planning, some serious blood, sweat and tears as well as a little luck, NUGGETRY took off and very quickly the name became synonymous with KILLER bud.
Right about the time I was planning on expanding the NUGGETRY delivery service in Orange County my friend Nuggs (F.K.A. MJBoy) from HydroCanna.com contacted me with an idea he had for a storefront collective in San Diego.
I won’t bore you with all the legal details and the red tape we had to deal with/hash out, but to make a long story short he and I sat down and in 1 afternoon I decided to temporarily stop deliveries in Orange County and NUGGETRY SD was born.
What he and I have created is hands down the most popular and fastest growing medical marijuana dispensary (legally we are a collective) in San Diego.
Located just minutes from San Diego State University in E. San Diego (on University Ave, just east of College St.), NUGGETRY SD has set the bar, and set it sky high (no pun).
We can be a little hard to find on your first visit as the building we are in used to be a house at one time back in the day. It was then converted into a doctor’s office and then a real estate office.
Parking is a breeze with a spot right out front on the street available most of the time.
So from the front all you really see is a cool looking white house with a yard and a sign in front that reads “Tri Palms Properties” (there are 3 palm trees out front). We had thought about painting the front or adding a new sign but decided against it. Once you find us that 1st time, trust me you won’t ever have a problem again. 
Walking up to the front door the first thing you can’t help but notice is there are cameras everywhere. We spared no expense when it came to security and put cameras up all over that even record audio.
You can’t get anywhere near NUGGETRY SD without us seeing/hearing you coming.
Once at the front door there is a little doorbell you ring and viola, you are immediately greeted by one of the 3 girls we have that run the front office.
Kate, Sami or Mindi will let you into our incredibly comfortable lobby which at one time was the living room of the house.
The NUGGETRY SD lobby is huge with hard wood floors, a big L-shaped desk, a bunch of chairs, a water cooler and a big fireplace that we are looking forward to using this winter.

Verification is a snap. Gone are the days of waiting forever for some uneducated receptionist to figure out how to get you verified.
We have taken the time to make sure that all 3 of our girls know the verification process inside and out. And should you be one of the small percentage of people that have a county card instead of a paper medical marijuana recommendation, that’s fine. We know our stuff.
Once verified, you are led into the bud room which is attached to the main lobby via a very secure door.
The bud room is just as nice, if not nicer than the lobby.
One of the first things that catches your eye is the giant flat screen on the wall being used as a menu board. Very clean indeed.

We had thought about going the traditional whiteboard but they tend to look a little sloppy.
Our selection of top quality meds are conveniently displayed in glass jars that we keep inside and on top of 4 foot wide glass display cases.
Nothing is pre-weighed. (Actually our hash is pre weighed just because it takes forever to weigh up)
We make sure to always have the magnifying glasses plugged in for the extra thorough patients.
As you are facing the display cases, off to your right is a metal rack with 3 shelves where we keep clones and mother plants.
The quality of our babies is just as high as the quality of our meds.

With the recent addition of Dre, we now have 2 budtenders at NUGGETRY SD.
Zango, who is what I like to call our budmaster has been with us since day 1 and knows just about all there is to know about the different strains of medical marijuana. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
While it’s not the norm, from time to time we like to treat our members to something a little special.
Recently I decided to roll up a GIANT joint. In another post I will go over the entire process but for now take a look at a couple pics of the beast.
The above fatty consisted of a bunch of Fallbrook with some Blueberry and a bunch of kief from our house grinder packed in the end we lit.
In addition to everything I have already mentioned, at NUGGETRY SD we have a couple things the I believe really set us apart from the other medical marijuana collectives in San Diego.
Every Saturday at 1:00pm we have a free medical marijuana cultivation class that has over the last few weeks become very popular.
My partner Nuggs has done an excellent job of putting together an hour long class (sometimes it runs a little longer) that is both informative and fun at the same time.
The classes are held in one of our extra rooms and usually ends with a fat session in our soon to be complete VIP vapor lounge. And by VIP I just mean people that we are comfortable with medicating on our property.
We have a great selection of glass pieces for patients to use in the vapor lounge and if you need a little help rolling a joint or cleaning a piece, just let us know and we’ll take care of you.
Oh yeah, there is an Xbox 360 hooked up to a 42″ flat screen for those gamers that want to chill for a few as well as a laptop with Wi-Fi access as well.
All-in-all I have to say, and not just because I am one of the owners that NUGGETRY SD is probably one of the best medical marijuana collectives in the state.
We not only have a safe, clean, convenient location but also have one of the kindest and most knowledgeable staffs in the industry.
Our meds are always top notch and it is VERY rare for us to have less than 10 strains available and usually have 15-25.
As far as prices, we have 1/8’s of Mango, Blueberry and L.A. Kush right now for $40 and our best Chunkle nugs will cost you $65.
For the most part the majority of our bud like the 619 NUGGETRY OG, Green Crack, Casey Jones etc. go for $60 an 1/8th.
On your way out we are always sure to let you know that if you have any issues with anything you get from NUGGETRY SD (too sour, too sweet, too weak, too strong) please call or come back. We’ll make it right. –Chubbs
