If you look really close at the upstairs part of the picture, you can see a little pot leaf on the door next to a guys head. That is suite 201, the entrance to Lake Forest Community Collective.
LFCC is a medical marijuana collective that I have been hearing a lot about especially since I live in Orange County. Here in OC there are not too many store front dispensaries so word travels fast when there is something worth seeing.
Now I must say I have sort of mixed feelings when it comes to how much I like LFCC, let me tell you why.
A few months back I was asked by someone at LFCC if I would come down and do a review. Not that they were offering, but I would never take any sort of compensation for a review which is why when I went in I did my normal thing which is to just act like any other patient. Again, not that I would, but I don’t want to receive any preferential treatment because I am writing a review so I just shop like a normal shopper. Kind of a ’secret shopper’ if you will.
Anyway, I get down there and have no trouble parking as they are located in a big shopping center and the parking lot is huge. LFCC is in the big building upstairs on the left, directly in front of you as you walk up the stairs.
The lobby is fair size, I think there might be a few chairs but I can’t remember. Verification was very fast, took about a minute so there was no need to sit down. After getting the okay you walk from the lobby, through a door into a second room that is about the same size as the lobby. If I remember correct this is the room where the atm is.
Walking right through the middle room and into the green room was weird the 1st time. Not sure why it’s there. I am guessing it’s for security.
The medicine/green room is nice and big and very well lit. A few different people were behind the 2 glass displays and each said hello. Very friendly indeed.
Unfortunately their selection was not all that great. They have maybe 10 strains at most with the strongest being a poor example of OG Kush. I came up on it as well as some Hindu Skunk. As a freebie I was given some granola. (Reviews of everything coming very soon)
I normally don’t review a dispensary until after I have been there at least twice. It’s just a little more fair imo, everyone can have an off day.
So it’s been some time since my 1st visit to LFCC and I decide to head back a few days ago. I hate to say it but there selection was even more sparse than the 1st time. The guy that was helping me said it had been a busy Saturday and they were running a little low. I grabbed an 1/8th of Northern Lights and some bubble hash and split.
Since LFCC is one of the few dispensaries in OC they are in a way, pioneers. For this reason I decided to give them 1 more shot before writing this review and I am glad I did.
Yesterday I went by and they had a much wider selection than they did on either of my previous 2 trips. I did not anticipate this and only had enough money on me to grab an 1/8th. I went with the Jack Herer since it seemed to look the best.
At $65 an 1/8th I feel their top shelf bud is a little overpriced. If they would just step up the quality a little bit I’d have no problems with paying that, but for now I am going to have to stick to The Valley.
Lake Forest Community Collective is a great collective for people in San Diego and S. Orange County that don’t feel like making the annoying trek to L.A. or The Valley but I have a strong feeling that there are not too many people making the drive down south just to go to LFCC.
For now LFCC is going to be my back up dispensary. When I just don’t have the time or patience to sit in traffic heading north on the 405, I’ll just shoot south and be at LFCC in minutes!
With there being so many spots to choose from, quantity, quality and price make a huge difference. As soon as LFCC has some real fire on a consistent basis, I’ll shop there so often they will all know me by name. –Chubbs

Ya the good clubs in that area are #208 and #210 in the same building, 215 Agenda in #11 across Raymond Way, and GGeco at the 241 and Lake Forest Blvd.
@Asparaguspee: In the near future I will be writing a review of the herb scene in Lake Forest as a whole.
I experienced the “Cutting-in-Line” thing at this facility. Which is too bad, because without that, it would have been an okay experience. I blame the people that work there because they seem to cater to the line-cutters. There is a lot of chit-chat between the bud-tenders and their friends. So if your waiting in line, it can kind of suck. There needs to be a better line system. It seems that a lot of the clientele is under 21, and I didn’t see a lot of ID checking…a lot of spoiled south OC kids who’s parents let them do whatever they want. Other than that, it seemed okay.
I have been reading these “reviews” and I have a thought. Before getting offended or writing something less than thoughtful back, think about this. The dispensaries are for people who need marijuana as medicine. Let’s say we were in a court of law; the Supreme Court. The argument was to finally make medical marijuana legal. Imagine the opposition using posts like this page as an argument against it. This page reads like a review for coffee shops in Amsterdam, not legitimate businesses for medical patients. Think about it… There are people in other states that would give their right arm and are literally dying to have what you people have in California. For everyone’s sake, stop making the movement everyone worked so hard for look like a mistake. The government will use every shred of “evidence” that the medical marijuana movement is just a way to get marijuana legal for the “stoners” A thread regarding medical dispensaries should quote the benefits it has on your health and the community; not ripping bong hits and going biking. It is this “attitude” that is causing more problems than you realize. Please, think before you speak. If you live in California and other states with medical marijuana, obtained a card but really use it as a “foot in the door”, so to speak, just be thankful you have the good fortune to obtain marijuana. There are those of us that are dying waiting for our chance…
This is directed to those that are discussing “ripping bong hits”, etc… rather than a legit discussion. Peace.
@Gerald: I use medical marijuana for back pain resulting from a double discectomy.
When I medicate, I use a bong and rip fat bong tokes which are the fastest and most effective way for me to feel the benefits.
This is directed to those that are discussing “ripping bong hits”, etc… rather than a legit discussion. Also, the dispensaries that are in business just to make money off medical marijuana, you should be ashamed. Why should people have to pay street prices for medication. I have “been there, done that” and it can be produced and sold at a lot more reasonable price. Peace.
Sorrry for growing up RIPPING BONG HITS and loving the party aspect just as much as the medical aspect. Gerald you need to loosen up like alot. I started smoking weed to get highand still do,but I also use it medically. The party aspect will never go away and Im glad. There are alot worse things than ripping bongs even the gov knows that. STOP HATIN!
