After having smoked some Really, REALLY good sativas in Amsterdam last November, I was a little disappointed in the selection I had to choose from at some of the SoCal medical marijuana dispensaries. J1 (Jack Herer) from Reseda Discount Caregivers changed all that.

Looks: Big giant dog-leg shaped buds. Nice girth.
Smell: As sweet as candy. Very fragrant.
Taste: Again, very sweet. Thick lemony smoke.
Buzz Type: Extremely energetic. This is some great marijuana to smoke before sitting down to write some reviews.
Buzz Length: Long. 2-3 Hours.
Overall: A top notch strain that single handedly renewed my faith in medical sativas.
Buzz Report: I used J1 as a bit of a stimulant believe it or not. Yes, it gets you incredibly high but in a very ‘uppity’ way. Great bud that was very well grown and cured. –Chubbs

I have some of this now and I agree it is a very nice buzz beautiful crystals almost hard from how much there is. Definitly one of my favorites.
i went to MCC last year and apparently i was one of the fist people to try this strain… skunk 1 is the cross correct me if i’m wrong.. but i’ve only had 1 decent hit of this out of a bong and it’s my favorite strain.. i have smoked skunk 1 (nh) and jack herer (mass) so i guess i can say that… Apparently this strain came from san jose Originally.. although i can testify that i did see the package and it said san jose, legit.

J1 originated in Amsterdam and was brought to the states by a dude from the central valley, Ca in 1999. It is Jack Herer crossed with haze. The dude brought 5 different jack crosses back from amsterdam and this one happened to be the first seeds he planted from those five different strains hence the name J1. J2 also came from the same dude.
I picked up a gram of this then another two grams then a quarter oz. I love this it is just perfect for daytime use. I use it all around and it never lets me down. The only thing that drives me crazy is I cannot compare the smell to anything I can put my finger on. It’s a wonderful smell one of the best I have smelled I just can’t pinpoint it. Anyone?
I think it smells like perfume personally!!!
