Branding themselves as the “world’s best online headshop”, Grasscity.com very quickly became one of my favorite websites and I probably spend more time there than I do any other website (Besides MR of course 
) and I have not bought even a screen yet.
What caused me to bookmark Grass City and what keeps me coming back every day is not actually the retail end of the site, it’s the forum. With there being so many of us stoners out there, it was common sense that there should be a place for us to converge online and speak our minds. in July of 2000 Grass City was created and has done an excellent job of providing such a place. As of today, they are ranked #445 on big-boards.com list of most popular chat boards which is something to be proud of imo.
I thought I’d go over as much of the site as I can in an attempt to give everyone a clear idea of how they can benefit from both the headshop and the forums. For many of you this is ‘old news’ as you have probably been members of Grass City much longer than I have. But for a lot of people this review should help out when it comes to finding anything from a nice glass piece to the right forum to post pictures of your favorite bong. And for the record, I am NOT a Grass City affiliate as you can easily tell by the lack of an affiliate code in each/every link included in this review.

The sidebar that runs down the right side of GC on each page list some really useful information. In addition to links based on the category you are looking at, there are tables/links for Top Sellers, New Items, A “Learn More” table with links to stuff like how to grow marijuana.
There is also a table at the very bottom of the sidebar that with links that convert the language of the text on the site to english, french, italian, german, spanish and dutch in addition to a currency converter and a shopping cart link.
At the very bottom, in the footer of each page of the Grasscity.com headshop there are the usual links that can be found on many websites along with a few extras like grasscity community, my wishlist and payment methods.

For those of you who do not know what affiliate marketing is, it’s where you build a website and on that website you advertise Grass City (or any other site that has it’s own affiliate program). When a user on your site clicks the Grass City banner and ends up buying something on GC, you are paid a commission for referring the sale. I think the main reason the forums are so popular is because it is ran by a group of moderators that not only care about marijuana, but also care about running a great site. As of today (February 27, 2009) there are 306,868 threads, 3,717,214 posts, 124,406 members and 39,492 active memebrs.
Those are some SERIOUS numbers folks. Should GC ever decide to start selling ad space, they are going to absolutely make a killing!
Overall
Both sides of Grasscity.com have proven over the years to be great sites. In a way they are kind of like 2 sites, a headshop and a forum combined into 1. Whatever the case, it’s working.
In addition to the features and sections I mentioned above, when it comes to the forums there are also all the usual’s that come with a site that’s using the Vbulletin script like private messaging, your own admin page, profile picture, etc.
I have no idea what Grass City has in store for the future but even if they did not change anything from today on, I think they’d have an A+ site for quite a long time. –Chubbs

Martian Mean Green – A great strain of marijuana from Amsterdam.
Platinum Headband – Just when you thought Headband couldn’t get any better!
Honey B – A solid sativa that when ‘used’ correctly can have you seeing stars.
Chemdawg – I don’t think I have ever met a Chemdawg smoker that did not love this strain.
Super Lemon Haze – I could literally smoke Super Lemon Haze all day, every day for the rest of my life.
The forum is a good place, but the headshop is nothing to shout about. Everyone knows everyonedoesit.com (EDIT) is the best online headshop in the world. GC stock doesn’t even compare to EDIT.
I agree with Saul, EDIT is clearly the biggest and best place to find what your looking for. Grasscity only stock cheap shoddy glass and little bits. EDIT has ROOR, Weedstar, Snob, EHLE etc etc not to mention anything else you could ever need when smoking. Until recently they also had a huge forum, sad to see it go.
Kush: Any idea what actually happened to the forum?
they had a falling out with the tech guys who ran the forum servers, to do with payments or something silly like that and they shut it down. I don’t think anyone knows the full story clearly but them.
but before then they started closing some of the sections down on the forum, like legal highs and such because of the recent media attention legal herbs like Spice was getting and they didn’t want their good image to be linked with that.
a few others have followed their action like alibongo.com’s forum.

I love the grasscity forums. I got a ton of help when I was doing my grow journal. I also get all my marijuana / activism news from their news section of the forum. Almost everyone is polite and helpful and the people who are trolls/assholes don’t last long.
