Way back when I use to grow, one of the first online seed companies I bought seeds from had Durban Poison on their menu. I was this close to buying some but ended up going with Black Domina instead. Let’s see what Demo11 thought of the DP.

Looks: Extremely bright, almost blueish dense thc coated buds.
Smell: Very pungent and unique. I’d describe it as a smell of berries mixed with red licorice.
Taste: Like candy mixed with berries.
Buzz Type: Immediate head high. Vision feels brighter. A very psychoactive high with no burnout.
Buzz Length: Medium. I smoked a nice .5g joint while watching UFC and I got these weird adrenaline rushes. Energetic high that lasts about an hour.
Overall: Durban Poison has a killer smell and taste, one of my favorites. For those who have never smelled real Durban Poison, I suggest you try and find some and let your senses go wild. –Demo11

its a great smoke. not overly potent, but it is 100% sativa, which creates a very trippy unique high. the smell and taste is what got me. i must’ve sat there for 35 minutes just smelling it haha
demo11: I had a 100% sativa recently called Mack-10 (review coming soon) that also smelled fantastic. I kept opening up the pill bottle just to smell it. Wish I had a cologne that smelled like that.

Good Durban Poison has probably the most distinct smell and taste of any bud I’ve seen or tried. Even more distinct than Sour Diesel. Great bud. It does have kind of an uppity high, that’s what I thought of when you mentioned weird energy rushes. I took a ton of Durban joints to Coachella this year and they helped keep me going for 3 days! Great review!
By far if grown properly one of the best buds in the world!!! I have been able to finally(after a few impostors or just breed was tainted) been able to pick some good quality up at WVPC for 50 an eighth!!!!Get some before I buy it all for myself

Durban Poison is my favorite sativa, best tasting, best energy, extreme clarity, fantastic for enhancing sounds and sights, got a very potent g 2 months back, very potent and i think it is def a bud that needs to be very potent, like ak47, to live up to what it is. I still have a chunk of DP hash and save it as long as I can…:)
Tried some of this last night and it was some KILL. Smelled and tasted like something I’ve never smelled or tasted before, but fruit-like. Made me cough more than any dank ever has and gave me a high like it was my first time to smoke. Best dank I’ve smoked so far

Just got some in the mail from a friend in Colorado. The second j opened the bag I thought I was in a weed smoothie shop haha. Very fruity unique smell and a straight to the dome high. A friend of mine thoroughly convinced himself that we had laced it with something. Bomb bomb bud.
You knw whats the best thing about this topic is that i live in Durban if i cant get any Endo i just go a hundred metres in any direction and i can scores sum DP. for the price of a bubblegum.
Just the name alone, makes this strain sound amazing. I managed to acquire a clone of durban poison and the flowering time is like 11 weeks for it to finish. Mine smelled sweet but not quite like licorice and the waiting time for it to finish flowering was worth the wait. I haven’t found a better sativa high than durban poison.
i love well grown sativas and this is one of my absolute favorites. well grown buds always seem to have a smell blackberries/tart raspberries and bit of pine sap, and corn. as demo said, very pungent. very pungent. it’s awesome, it’ll send your olfactory system into overdrive. it’ll do the same to your head. great productive high. lends itself to a good 1.5 to 2 hrs of a focused and energetic head high. mellow comedown. love smoking a joint of poison and getting the mess cleaned up about the house as well as housekeeping around the office sorting through emails and correspondence. always find myself incredibly productive. great strain.
Classic Durban. If you can get the same cut as the one above then you are a lucky person as this strai is not only great by its self, but it is great to use as a solid building block for some grade A hybrids! Good review I was taken back to just how good this bud is. A real dense sativa that can be hard to look at it’s so fuzzy with trichs. This is another strain that I wish I was growing or at least had some seeds around! MMMM Durban!
lmaao $400 an ounce Where the hell do you pay that much, thats fuckin insaanee. Not even a strain like grand daddy cost that much in norcal, the most i’ve heard of is like $350 for some ridiculously top notch club bud, or like $1200 a QP from a dealer for some good ass purple. Most shit is like 250-270, I used to slang though and i think i remember some kid said he lived in L.A and bought an ounce off me for like $260 because it cost like 500 down there, thats like buying a sack of coke every time you want to blaze. aye man you got 15 on it?
no weed in SoCal will ever cost more then $4k a .lb unless you are getting scammed. As for Durban Poison I am pretty sure this weed is high in CBD’s if i am not mistaken. As for $400 an ounce….not here in the bay area…most it will fetch is $320 and that is just standards pricing for AAA quality weed.

lol@ northern. i have yet to come across cheaper durban poison that was legit. ppl just dont want to let it go once they have it. proper durban poison is insane is all i can say. id pay $400 a z anyday for proper durban. a real stoner would smell it, look at it and not say a word about price. even when friends have to pay 60 an 8th they always complain, say theyll never pay that much again… then when durban comes back… they get more haha
Grew three durbs outdoors in central MN last year. One was low in potency, but in all fairness, it was a runt form the start. One was really good nug you would buy and the other was truly, insano bud. Unusually, the best was also the biggest, yielding just over 9 z’s of bud that made me very popular all of a sudden. When others here say that good Durban the is the s**t, I agree 100%. The smell and taste only add to my appreciation of the strain. Seeds came from Sensi.

That looks and sounds some killer bud, I love sativas. I’ve always wanted to try this ever since a friend of mine said when he smoked some the head high was so intense, he was actually starting to trip.
