We don’t use grinders in our house, but it’s interesting to see how well they are made and well liked.

Comments: I’ve owned grinders for as long as I’ve been smoking. I’ve had all the different kinds: plastic, wood, metal and honestly they’ve all worked the same, so when I saw this super sized grinder for $80 I was skeptical it would perform any better. But upon holding it in my hands and seeing all the different parts disassembled I decided it was worth the investment.
This thing is well made. The teeth and holes are diamond cut into aluminum. There are no metal shavings or rough surfaces to be found. The holes are different sizes and are shaped in a unique way that really grinds the herb to an ideal consistency, with minimal resistance. It’s not too fine as I’ve found with some other grinders.
This Kannastor has a large chamber to catch the ground bud and two screens to sieve the kief through. The first screen is very coarse and lets quite a bit of plant material through. This super fine herb/kief mixture is perfect if you really want to milk a bong. The next screen is very fine and lets through only the trichomes. It takes a while to fill this chamber up, but it’s worth the wait.
What really stood apart for me was the fact that the screens are replaceable. Using a pair of pliers, the ring that holds the screen in place comes out, and then the screen is free to clean or replace. This makes it super easy to scrape all the kief out with the included guitar pick.
This brings me to my one complaint: after searching online, I can’t find anyone who carries replacement screens or additional accessories for these grinders. Even the official website has no online store. Why have replaceable screens if I can’t purchase a replacement?
Overall, this was worth the money I spent. In the past I have opted to break up my bud by hand even with a grinder present, but since I bought this one, I use it all the time. I highly recommend it! –MiamiToker
