Name: Durban Poison x Sensi Star

Looks: Darker green bud, loose and very light in weight.  Super crystally, shines in the light.

Smell: Like fresh fruit, slightly spicy.  When broken, the smell of this Durban Poison x Sensi Star is intense, like a bowl of fruit loops.  Burning it actually has a light fragrance, like incense.

Taste: Like grapes.  I would actually buy this strain on taste alone.

Buzz Type: Energetic.  I could smoke this and go to a meeting, still active.

Buzz Length: Pretty short buzz, I found that I was smoking alot to keep a consistent high.  Maybe an hour and a half.

Overall: My tolerance overwhelmed this bud, smoking more and more everyday.  If you’re smoking good bud consistently you may find this less potent than wanted. 

Could be better, not an exceptional bud but still above average.  Maybe it wasn’t grown in the most ideal conditions to reach it’s potential.  -valluco956

Looks: White buds with red hairs and minimal emerald green fan leaves.

Smell: Grapefruit and lemon mixed together.

Taste: Has that distinct Diesel citrus flavor that never gets old and really makes it hard to exhale when it is this delicious.

Buzz Type: Uppity heady high that still kept you very alert and sharp.  This would be a great wake and bake or daytime smoke.

Buzz Length: Medium.  Lasted an hour to two hours depending on how much we would smoke at a time.

Overall: NYCD is one of the tastiest strains in the world as far as I’m concerned.  This review is from a trip I took in December of 2007.  I purchased this at the second De Rokerij location that is near the Doors 2 “Whisky Bar” coffeeshop.

Looks: Bright lime green color with pinkish hues and insane trich coverage.  Long orange hairs.

Smell: This Sour Diesel x Great White Shark stunk so badly that anything short of a glass jar couldn’t contain its amazing stench.  Has a fuel-y Diesel funk.

Taste: Full flavored Diesel that leaves a fruity aftertaste that is similar to Cannalope Haze.

Buzz Length: Long.  Head races for about 90 minutes.  No fogginess after that either.

Buzz Type: Such a good sativa high that gives energy and really stimulates creativity and positive thoughts.

Overall: I was extremely satisfied when a friend brought me a few eighths of this stuff.  –Meangreenmartian

A beauty of a sativa if I’ve ever seen one!

Looks: What a strange looking strain Jack Herer is.  Nice sized buds with lots of glands full of sweet THC.  The hairs are blood red.

Smell: Musky and extremely lemony.

Taste: Slight tingle in the back of the throat, but otherwise very smooth.  The smoke has a lemon flavor.  It is very enjoyable without being overpowering.

Buzz Type: Deep cerebral high.  I feel like Professor Xavier from X-Men sitting in that room with the helmet on listening to my swirling thoughts and ideas.  After smoking half a small joint, my senses and energy levels increased dramatically.  Great for visionary artists.

Buzz Length: Very long.  A reasonable amount of my good friend Jack has kept me nicely baked for about two hours now.

Overall: Jack Herer is in my top 3 sativas of all time.  Ranks up there with original Maui Wowi.  The taste is not amazing, but the high makes up for anything else this bud is lacking. 

There is nothing that Jack Herer doesn’t help.  It’s great for sex, asthma, headaches, glaucoma, socializing, thinking and boredom.  Amazing strain!  –Demo11

Name: Beverly Hills Kush Oil

Type: Honey Oil

Looks: Thick – like molasses.

Smell: Very sweet, like marijuana candy.  Seems like it would be good to cook with.  In fact, I think I’m gonna try that next time.

Taste: I mixed it with some 90210 OG Kush so the combined taste was sweet and god-like.

Buzz Type: I expected it to be stronger.  It was an OK buzz.  This was my first time smoking oil and I had high expectations (pun intended).

Buzz Length: I never smoked it alone, but when mixed with some 90210 OG Kush, it kept me high for upwards of two hours.

Overall: This stuff was soooo sticky that in order to get it out of the tiny jar, I had to hold it upside down with a pair of tweezers and hold a flame to the jar in order to have the oil melt out onto my bud.  I tried other things like using a paperclip, but to no avail.

Knowing that this oil was called Beverly Hills Kush Oil, I was expecting a lot out of it.  At $50/g this oil is overpriced.  $30 would have been more appropriate considering the quality of the high.  West Valley Caregivers in Woodland Hills is selling this very same oil at two grams for $50, a much better deal.

I think the way to go with this oil is to allow your bud to soak in it overnight.  I’m going to go ahead and try that next time!  –Mervinthepersian

Looks: Nice crunchy nugs. A slight fluff.

Smell: Very bright and fruity.

Taste: A great pineapple finish.  Like a just picked fruit salad.

Buzz Type: Uplifting cerebral high.

Buzz Length: Long.

Overall: My close buddy hooked me up with a nice batch of some Pineapple Express.  With the success of the blockbuster movie, he decided to name his genetic project Pineapple Express.  And boy, it is lovely! 

The genetics are awesome and the high is very uplifting.  Definitely more sativa than indica. 

Overall, I was very pleased with the free sample he kicked me down with.  –Vaporizer

One of the best things that happened for me at the recent THC Expo was I had an opportunity to talk with Arjan, owner of The Greenhouse coffee shop in Amsterdam about an idea I had for this years Cannabis Cup.

Fortunately he loved it!

Every day at this year’s Cup there will be a small section of The Greenhouse cleared out for me so that I can shoot some custom videos for Marijuana Reviews.

It’s gonna be great. Real time strain reviews from The Cannabis Cup.

I’ll also pull some random stoners aside for their perspective as well as some of the more famous personalities that frequent The Greenhouse.

Oh and you can definitely be expecting a few European Widow Maker videos!

Looks: Beautiful, very purple which offsets the orange hairs with surprising clarity.

Smell: Not much to be taken from the smell, slightly sweet.

Taste: Delicious taste that is barely there, almost like Skittles and apple juice.

Buzz Type: Uplifting and relaxing.

Buzz Length: Short, 1-2 hours.

Overall: Purple Princess creeps up on you after the first few hits, leaving you extremely relaxed and uplifting your mood.  It is far from a heavy indica and the high is extremely pleasant.  The high is functional and happy, and I spent most of my time after smoking Purple Princess feeling satisfied and laughing with my friends. 

This high would have been close to perfect if it wasn’t for how disappointingly short the high lasted.  However, with that in mind, it’s still hard to give Purple Princess anything less than an A, it was just that pleasant.      –Amanda
