When I was running NUGGETRY as a delivery service in Orange County I was fortunate enough to meet up with a grower who joined my collective and ended up turning me onto what is easily one of the most popular strains of medical marijuana in San Diego county right now, maybe even all of S. California, Chunkle. Take a look.
Name: Chunkle
From: NUGGETRY SD (Dispensary – San Diego)
Grade: A
Type: Indica
Price: $25/G, $65/8th
Genetics: God’s Gift x Master Kush
Looks: Depending on how much God’s Gift is used in the breeding, Chunkle can go from being semi purple to almost dark black. Some people have said that darker nugs look like chunks of coal. Wild orange hairs and a nice coating of crystals.
Smell: Deep, rich indica smell with a hint of grapes. Very pungent.
Taste: Very similar to the smell on inhale, hashy on the exhale.
Buzz Type: Immediate body high. When I take a big bong hit, I feel it behind my eyes right away. The longer I hold the hit, the redder my eyes get before I exhale. Very nice.
Buzz Length: Long. 2 tokes keeps me baked for a good 2 hours.
Overall: I don’t know if I have ever taken a prettier picture than the one above. Let me tell you from much experience, the high you get from smoking Chunkle is just as nice. It is not going to hit you as hard as one of the more powerful OG’s but it will definitely keep you buzzed longer. This stuff has legs. Trust me when I tell you if you get anywhere near San Diego (or even OC in the near future) you need to get some Chunkle.
Buzz Report: I have probably smoked more Chunkle than any medical marijuana patient in the state. This stuff is for real. The other day I took a Chunkle nug and dipped it in some oil (2 ounces of bud reduced to an 1/8th of oil) and me and the staff at NUGGETRY SD hit a few Widow Makers. Man was that a great day. I wish I could tell you more about it but I don’t really remember too much.

looks like a purple heart… mmm
well, chunkle is indeed of the hook, the day it becomes more of a 40-50 eigth is the day it makes a bit more sense to me since if its strength is that of an OG, and OG can be found organic in SD for 300 a zip, my math says…30-40 an eigth for organic OG, but 65 for this, and many others in southern california.
I will say it has a unique buzz, and long lasting to say the least. Its also one of the best looking buds ive ever seen first hand. So in no way would I take away from this strain, I just question these 65 8ths…crazy talk, that makes a 520 dollar ounce…wild.

is this an indoor/outdoor grow? I am curious to know the specifics about how it was grown: organically/bioorganically, soil/hydro, etc. looks fantastic! i kinda want to put it in a fruit salad or a big bowl of fruit loops!

It’s not like you’re paying for a service here or something. They do a great job keeping the site going, considering they don’t make a dime from it. I’m sure Chubbs and the Mrs. have a lot going on, especially now that they have the #1 dispensary in Cali! Give him a break man. I’m not going to fill up this post with garbage, so this is my last post on this issue. I don’t even live in the same state, so why would I kiss ass? What am I hoping to get? I think it’s messed up for people to complain that they aren’t getting what they want out of a free site. I completely agree with Herb. They’ve spent a lot of money on this site without getting any returns. Wake up in the morning and rush to another site if you don’t like it. Peace and Pot.

As a new member,I just want to say this is the most interesting and best site that I have bookmarked!The pics. and reviews are outstanding.I just got back from the Manhattan Beach area where I met a close friend.The first thing we did was go to a dispensary.Being from Ma. and not having a M.M. card I gladly waited for him at a local eatery.I have smoked some very good good cannabis here on the eastern coast but the weed he came out with was just on a whole different level!At that moment I decided I am moving to Cali.Will be renting in the Venice Beach area mid Dec.and am looking forward to posting pics. and reviews.SUPER EXCITED and can hardly wait for the move out there!
Chunkle is definitely a great strain… if your in sd I would definitely recommend going 2 Nuggetry SD, for Chunkle and other really good top shelf strains

Damn this chunkle looks soo sweet and with those genetics its got to put some red in the eyes quick. Alot of the genetics of the purple strains that have originated out of the pacific northwest seem to be a little fuzzy. But it seems like the dispensaries have at least enabled people to see the purple beauty that has grown in many Pacific Northwest areas, Humboldt all the way to Oregon for many many years. And it is true, our indicas from Hindu Kush genetics, are the best in the world.
chubbs, i sincerely congratulate on having some of the best purp i have ever seen. this chunkle looks soo amazing and i bet the smoke is even better. i bet all your patients are happy you have the hookup for this one.

Widowmakers are the bee’s knees, too. Here in NorCal we call them (well at least in Santa Cruz) salad tossers haha, idk where the name even came from.
My understanding was that purps all originated from NorCal, not the PNW, but I could be wrong. The growers I know insist the green triangle spawned the purps, probably due to the cold growing climate.

Are we ever going to see this strain again in San Diego or in the OC? I was ready to pick some up back when Chunkle was still available at SD Nuggetry, but I never got around to it. I hope this isn’t the end of Chunkle now that Nuggetry is no longer in SD.

From the look of this strain, I would NEVER get tired of it. The price is SLIGHTLY above average prices for this neck of the woods, but nobody’s complaining. God’s Gift was good by itself – crossed now with Master Kush – really some great eye candy!
