I just have to ask – m1ke, what are the buds sitting on in the first picture?

Today, I watched a competition on the Food Network between food stylists – people who set up food for photographers (mostly for magazine ads and such). Made me think about how we have some really beautiful photos and nicely placed nugs. Hmmm, maybe that’s a good contest in the future!

Looks: A nice earthy looking green. Very soft and almost fuzzy looking all around. Well cured and perfectly dried bud.

Nice and spongy buds that immediately pop back to their original shape when slightly squeezed. If you squeeze too hard and destroy the trichs, then it will stay squished.

Smell: Like someone opened a fresh can of coffee with a little bit of spice as well. It has a very musky smell to it that only a mason jar could contain. When you open it, it’s incredible how powerful it is filling the room and seeping upstairs.

Taste: Amazing and heavy. The taste is triple what it smells like. It is such a soft and gentle smoke that just seems to suck the life out of you as you exhale.

Buzz Type: Very strong and taking full effect over 5-10 min.

Buzz Length: Very long. 3+ hours. It seems to linger along for a very long time and I still feel like I’m wearing glasses 3 hours later with a slight weight on the bridge of my nose and under my eyes.

Overall: These buds were surprisingly clear for an indica similar to that crazy purple I had reviewed earlier, but not presenting the same way glimmering all over. However, crack these buds open and it’s incredible, golden right down to the center, almost blinding. –m1ke

Looks: Medium density nuggets with an overall light green appearance. Orange pistils and heavy trichome coverage. Almost too pretty to smoke.

Smell: Fuel and skunk, followed by very pleasant fruity and sweet notes.

Taste: Subtle – hashy, fruity and spicy. You would think that with a name like Grape Krush, you’d get more of a grape like taste; that wasn’t really the case. It tastes great, just not like grapes.

The spicy element of the flavor lingers in your nasal passages. I generally like a very pungent, woodsy taste. Had the flavor lingered longer on the pallet, I would have given it an A+.

Buzz Type: Immediate. It starts with a very psychoactive, dreamlike buzz and later balances out with a contrasting body high.

I preferred to smoke this particular strain in the daytime, or late afternoon/early evening.

Buzz Length: Long. One solid bong bowl pack had me ripped for a good three hours or so.

Overall: Very, very nice all around. Grape Krush has a very subtle, fruity/hashy taste and smells incredible. It’s cerebral effects provide a clear and soaring high, accompanied by a body buzz that’s not incapacitating. –marijuanasoarus

Genetics: Romulan x Unknown sativa

Looks: Lime green leafy golf balls on first glance, but when the outer (but still sugar-coated) leaves are pulled back, the nugs are tight and spongy with small compact red hairs.

There isn’t a part of this nug that is not caked in trichomes.

Smell: Like spices, incense and fresh ground coffee.

Taste: Not nearly as hard as the smell would lead you to believe. Smooth dark taste with a very indica aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Intense hybrid high. I smoked 0.4 grams through a good glass bong and I was sky high.

Definite short creeper; after I exhaled the first hit, I expected a kick to the brain, but was kind of left hanging. By the end of the first bowl my whole body felt warm and my mental state started to loosen up.

Very good buzz for watching some cartoons or listening to some good music.

Buzz Length: Long – This bud gave me a solid 2 hours of fun before a smooth drop off.

Overall: I have gotten this strain from the grower before, but with this grow they really upped the ante.

The buds were grown and cured perfectly, the smell was leaking through my mason jar it was so dank! Overall, I would have this as one of my top favorite hybrids I have ever smoked. –Polygon

Looks: Medium green color with some orange-red hairs. VERY frosty, tight buds that are so fuzzy they look like they were rolled in sugar.

Smell: Strong spicy smell – much like other Haze strains.

Taste: The smoke is medium to thick with the spice flavor prevailing, though there is a slight detectable berry flavor.

Buzz Type: The high hits hard, and left me feeling spacey and uncoordinated.

Buzz Length: Long – lasted a good 2-3 hours and let me down nice and easy.

Overall: This is one of the best looking, tasting, buzz providing meds I have EVER had the pleasure of smoking. I’m planning on making this one of the strains I always keep in my “cannabis medicine cabinet”. –NorCal_Cyclist

Looks: Rock hard buds. Light green with light orange hairs with a very nice coat of trichomes covering the entire bud.

Smell: Spicy, sweet fruity chocolate like smell.

Taste: Sweet tasting at first then almost like a baking chocolate flavor.

Buzz Type: Strong, clean high that lasts.

Buzz Length: Long. 3 Hours.

Overall: I love this bud. It is a very good smoke. Rolled a 1/2 gram joint for me and a buddy and we were both baked for hours.

It has a very intense high to it. Almost reminded me of the beginnings of a shroom high, very energetic high that wants you up doing something more than sitting. It makes me very talkative. –OlyWa

Looks: As the name suggests, it is "white" and looks really fierce and angry like you would think a shark would be.

The pda camera was the only one I had access to at the time as usual and I never get the full color spectrum across with it and the proper light reflections off the trichs.

Smell: Ridiculously fruity with a soft hint of spice that lets you know it means business.

It develops as you take in your first few smells starting off fruity like candy almost. It then develops into a soft fruity flavor with an almost citrus spice - if you could call it that - adding a musk to the scent.

Taste: As the name suggests, very sweet like those real fruit gummies and with that heavy spicy undertone.

It is a very nice smoke, soft and silky almost with a nice fruity finish around the tip and sides of the tongue which is very pleasant especially when taking a large hit.

Buzz Type: Very pleasant and clear. It is definitely a creeper and very exciting buzz. I get this surge of energy with another wave of relaxation like a warm blanket being laid over you.

It is a very strong strain, but must have been developed to be manageable as this is one of the better strains I’ve smoked that offers a strong effect while still leaving your head quite clear.

Buzz Length: Long. 2 to 2 1/2 hours solid with a nice and clear comedown.

Overall: I find at the initial set in, like most hybrids I feel almost a bit of confusion as I am being "picked up" as well as "dragged down" at the same time, but this is the best part as you sort it out.

You really just get a nice blend of effects which is why hybrids are becoming so popular. –m1ke

I have found, just recently with our new camera, that it is best NOT to use a flash on the closeups cause the trichs just reflect back as dots. –Mrs. Chubbs

Looks: Light and dark green with purple specs. Many red, some white and few pinkish hairs.

In an average jar there are golf ball to quarter size nugs. Well manicured.

Smell: Smells a little spicy and a little sour with fuel overtones. I catch a whiff of pine when I first open the jar.

Taste: Very smooth on inhale and exhale. I found myself saying "Nice" with my eyes closed before I even put down my 2′ Jerome baker bong.

It has a little pine/spice taste on exhale. This was nicely cured.

Buzz Type: Fast acting and strong but amazing amount of clarity during the whole buzz.

You can be social while using this medicine but also content to sit and veg out. No burn out at the end. Works really well for my headaches.

Buzz Length: Long. 2-2 1/2 hours for someone with a high tolerance (since that is all I can speak for).

Overall: Sour Diesel is worth keeping in the rotation as long as it is available in your area, for sure. It is one I go back to very often no matter how many strains I might have at that moment.

It works so well I forgot to take the second hit I took out of the jar to write this review!! Maybe I should get that in before I crop and attach the photos! –SantaCruzMts

Looks: It’s green with TONS of red hairs.

Smell: It smells very spicy.

Taste: Spicy and delicious!

Buzz Type: Good head and body high. I love how I feel after smoking a bowl of some of this stuff.

Buzz Length: Long. I smoked 2 bowls in my chillum between a couple of friends and was high for 2-3 hours.

Overall: I love everything about this strain. It’s perfect for being active or just hanging out with some friends at your house.

I gave it an A because it’s dried and cured well, smokes great and the buzz suits me perfectly.

I don’t get access to a lot of high grade around where I live, so this is God sent.

If you ever come across this strain and you’ve never tried it, please do! It won’t be a letdown. –Shixray720

Looks: It’s a little leafy, but the buds look nice otherwise. Long orange hairs and sugar dipped crystal coverage.

Smell: The aroma is outrageous. I don’t know if I would call it pineapple, but it’s damn close. Maybe a little more grapefruit like. Definitely sweet and citrus though. There is also a hint of spice in the aroma, making it even more pleasant to smell.

Taste: The taste is very similar to the aroma. Sweet and citrus.

Buzz Type: The effects are immediate and continue to soar up for ten minutes or so. First it hit me straight in the face, then spread through out my entire head. The high was big with buzzing vibrations and tons of warmth.

Buzz Length: Long. It goes strong for at least a good two hours or so, and I have a fairly high tolerance.

Overall: I bought this on my second trip up to 215 Agenda. I was looking for a big, cerebral sativa and I found it. Props to the bud tender for recommending exactly what I wanted. I wouldn’t necessarily say this one is for waking and baking, as it’s quite spacey, even thought it’s uplifting as well. I guess it depends on what kind of day you want to have From my somewhat limited experience, this is a great example of what a sativa should be like. –throwitallaway
