Looks: Nice tight nugs with a nice frosty appearance. Very fat calyxes with a hint of purple way down deep.

Smell: Very, very nice earthy kush scent with an overlay of vanilla coffee!

Taste: The taste is an earthy kush flavor with hints of vanilla that linger delightfully after you exhale.

Buzz Type: This buzz announces it’s presence immediately! I felt the first hit permeate through my head and body as I held it in. A nice very pleasant type of buzz that neither pinned me to the couch or made me want to go do the dishes…..LOL. It’s the kind of buzz where you’re pretty much up for anything, PS3 or messing around the yard.

After 4 hits off a 0.5 gram joint the high just kept on ramping up till I forgot about the joint and it went out. One great thing about the buzz was no couch lock and no anxiety, just a wonderful feel good relaxing high.

Buzz Length: Long…About 2 hours-2.5 hrs. No hard drop, just kinda fades away at the end.

Overall: This is a great strain for just about anyone. With this batch testing out at 18% THC it has the kick to satisfy old school expectations with none of the anxiety that some newcomers would experience with more Sativa like strains. A good strain to keep on the shelf for general purpose recreation. –Jholar

Type: Indica

Genetics: Master x Hindu x Bubba

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th

Looks: Right off, this looks like some straight bedtime medication to me. Beautiful milky white trichs cover every inch. The leaf material is mostly a deep shade of purple, and the rest of the flower is an army/olive green, speckled here and there by dark orange pistils. I just have to comment on how amazingly beautiful this strain is, specifically the nugs I received. Also, being one who studies matters such as sacred geometry and such, I was also impressed to witness the triangular shapes of the almost all the nugs that made up my 8th. Kudos, Cannabis!

Smell: Very dark and woodsy. Almost nutty, incredibly earthy and dank. The smell is so unique to Bubba and Master Kushes around Los Angeles. I refer to it as the "coffee kush smell" for lack of a more on point description.

Taste: Similar to the smell. It has a very mentholated and dry woodsy quality to the smoke. I enjoy it thoroughly. My good friend commented that it was "charcoal-y" tasting (not to be mistaken for harshness because it was anything but). In a positive light, I can see what he means, and I dig it.

Buzz Type: Strong body high. This is some lethargic nighttime medicine. I love hitting bowls of this strain before bedtime. Reminds me of the earlier times I got baked. Slightly ethereal and psychedelic as well. Almost like LA Con, but way more narcotic. A real keeper in my ‘bedtime’ book!

Length: Long. 2-2 1/2 hrs. Again, I never time my bedtime smoke’s buzz length because I go to sleep shortly after.

Overall: I was more than satisfied with the NUGGETRY Funk. The color of the buds is enough to make me squeal like a little girl in anticipation. This is some decently potent nightcap/pain management medicine. I bought an 8th of it before I left on a 2- 1/2 week trip out to TX, and I left more than half of the 8th home. So when I returned, needless to say I was quite the eager beaver. And needless to say I was thrilled to find out that my beautiful 8th had not been dried out, and smelled just as woodsy and smooth as how I left it. –Merkaba

Based on the pictures and taste, I think NUGGETRY Funk is a hair better than NUGGETRY Funk Master. –Mrs. Chubbs

Looks: Gorgeous tiny golf balls hints of purple covered in trichomes and hairs.

Smell: Kinda of a vanilla pine mixture. Vanilla Pine Sol?

Taste: Just like vanilla ice cream.

Buzz Type: Medium – heavy big time creeper. Still creeping as I type this. Getting heavier as I speak but still not the heaviest of heavy indicas. Good to go out at night bud. Whatever gets you through the night. It’s alright.

Buzz Length: Medium – Long. 1 1/2 – 2 hours from 3 solid puffs off a bowl.

Overall: Listen, everything at CPA is A – A+. I’m not sure I’d get this one again, but it’s still an extremely high quality indica from the NUGGETRY guys. I’d rather smoke a strong sativa like Jack Herer or Silver Surfer because in an indica I’m looking for a lot of pain relief. Let’s just say it’s no Chunkle.

Buzz Report: Change this to an A+ (was originally submitted as an A). Kept on creeping and creeping and was heavier than I expected. At $55/8th I will reconsider this one if it’s on the menu and pick it up for sure. –_spoon_

Looks: Beautiful in everyway lol. Just looking at these nugs make my mouth water. Purple nugs with fat orange hairs. And there’s a lil green in there too.

Smell: Dank! Straight from the bag it has that classic purp smell. But when you bust it up, sweet skunky funk. Yum! Definitely keep the lid on the jar.

Taste: Classic purp flavor mixed with skunk.

Buzz Type: It’s like a firecracker to the brain. Hits you fast. I caught myself spacing out a few times lol.

Buzz Length: Long – 2hr.

Overall: I love it! What can i say. I don’t see a lot of purple strains on the east coast. So when these came thru I couldn’t help but fall in love. Overall I give these a 10! –Jungleekidd

Looks: This herb has the typical God’s Gift appearance and structure. Tight nugs with hints of purple along with orange hair, and of course sugar coated in trichomes!!

Smell: Sweet with a grape candy hint.

Taste: The inhale is fairly smooth with not much of a taste, the exhale is a little harsh with an almost stale taste in my opinion.

Buzz Type: Well, right away you can feel the heaviness of this stone. Basically, it hit me as a calm relaxing stone. 15 minutes in my legs and arms are tingling. 30 minutes I feel as if my head is really heavy and I’m ready to lay down! This is the type of herb where you want to post up on the couch and watch an awesome movie, the perfect stoner heavy hitting Indica high!

Buzz Length: Long. 2+ hours.

Overall: This is an awesome bud for the major smoker!! Body high! My only complaint was that this didn’t have anything special in the taste department. It wasn’t bad it was just lacking thus the reason for an A instead of an A+. –High Till I Die

Name: Purple Dragon, also known as Apalala

From: Harborside Health Center San Jose (Dispensary – San Jose)

Grade: A+++

Type: Hybrid – I believe it’s primarily sativa dominant

Genetics: I honestly do not know. However, based on my quick research I found that it is a hybrid cross-breed of several different strains including Purple Haze and BC Bud.

Price: $55/8th

Looks: Very sticky. The particular batch that I acquired were dank and dense nugs graciously covered with red/purplish green haired pistils and crystals that glittered under the light.

Smell: Pure potent, yet sweet, fruity and a very inviting smell. I actually somewhat reminisced upon smelling this particular strain as it reminded me of the original/old school grape flavored Bubbalicious Gum from the early 90s (circa 1990 – 1993).

Taste: Extremely smooth. To put it metaphorically, it was like smoking an aged yet properly cured wine. Leaves a sweet, pungent aftertaste on the tip of your tongue that makes you want it even more.

Buzz Type: Incredibly uplifting with an immediate impact. It will shed new light to your entire overall perspective on things. In a good way, of course. It will certainly get your nerves working to a very creative state that I cannot quite put into words. Now, I must say that my system has a pretty high tolerance but this wonderful strain surpassed that and just blew me away. Completely.

In fact, I’m going to describe in meticulous detail what I experienced just so the readers can somewhat envision the breathtaking experienced I endured with Purple Dragon. Let me start by saying that I only took a total of four good blunt hits and I was beyond good. A few minutes after my second hit, I already started having that tingly, good, and relaxing feeling that started to evenly spread all over my body. Thus, at this point I already knew I was in for some good time in cloud nine.

It took me a while to finally manage my third hit and shortly thereafter, I felt like all I needed was a cape and I could conquer the world. Yes, it was THAT GOOD. Actually thinking about it now, I should have probably stopped after my third toke but I hesitantly refused and took one more and after my fourth and last hit, I was beyond good. I mean I got to a state to where I could literally hear my hair growing (word to Grandma’s Boy).

Then just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, my analytical and creativity senses within me all of a sudden became enhanced. To the point where I started to critique my thoughts while laughing uncontrollably and being completely relaxed ALL at the same time. I know this sounds almost next to impossible but believe me, the feeling was one that I haven’t felt or experienced before with any other strain.

This, by far, has provided me with one, if not, the best experience I have ever had. Now the last significant effect on me that makes me definitely consider this easily my top 3 strain all time was how it extensively heightened my taste buds. I know that any and all remarkable strains will eventually give you the munchies and practically anything you eat will taste better. The only difference with Purple Dragon is it makes it even that much better. It will definitely give you the munchies in a very good, enjoyable way. The spaghetti and garden salad that my wife made me instantly went from very good to unbelievably scrumptious and to die for.

Buzz Length: Long and satisfying. I recall taking my first hit a little after 7 in the evening and I was good until I eventually knocked out around 10:30ish. Needless to say, this is not for your average novice user.

Overall: As detailed as I try to put it with everything I noted above, I’m still lost for words on how to perfectly describe this wonderful and awe-inspiring strain. I mean even if I were to describe it as legendary, I feel that it would still be an understatement. Once you’ve had this strain, I assure you that you would find it difficult to compare it to any other.

Every time I acquire my meds, I always make sure that I end up with some good/high end quality strains. However, simply put, this one was just off the charts. From the looks, smell, taste, and buzz type, it’s easily and definitely an A+++ all the way across the board. I think that they couldn’t have referred or named this strain any better than just simply PURPLE DRAGON. It’s an absolutely perfect strain. Period. Bar none! –KNOWN 2 OWN

Type: Hybrid – Not 100% percent sure, but I’m guessing Indica dominant

Price: $300/ounce

Looks: Golden orange hairs all over. Dark purple and green on the outside with a nice coating of goodness but that’s just the outside, the inside is straight eye candy. The purple is a lot brighter inside, almost neon. Just crystal after crystal when you crack open the bud. It’s a beauty alright.

Smell: Sweet and Strong, lingers in my nostrils. OG Kush has one of the strongest smells I think, and this stuff smells just as strong if not stronger. Like dirty candy, or a sugar skunk are the only things that come to mind.

Taste: Was passing a joint around and left all 3 of our mouths tasting sweet like sugar. But coffee comes through in the taste as well.

Buzz Type: Can’t describe it really. Mostly body high, but kind of made my head numb. Didn’t think much, or really care about anything. Just stoned and happy. Went on an epic hike at Cold Creek, just behind Mt. Charleston, and sat on a rock on the side of a mountain and smoked a joint with my best friends while looking at a beautiful view. Was a little scary when trying to get back on the path haha.

Buzz Length: Medium-long. 1-2 hours. Super high for like 30-45 minutes and then just a body high for the remaining high. Comedown is the only negative part though, left me worn out and tired. Only way I was able to cancel this out was either stay high, eat or sleeeeep.

Overall: Really good weed. Looks good, smells good, tastes good, and the high was enjoyable. I just wish the comedown wasn’t as bad. –Mare Ahh Won Ahh

Looks: I was surprised with a call from my friend one day claiming he had black bud. I thought he was lying so I decided to head over there and see what all the hype was about. Little did i know, he was telling the truth and whipped out a gram of black bud. It was dark black with bits of green. It had little visible trichomes and some visible orange hairs.

Smell: I took one look at this bud and thought dirt, then I opened the bag and took a whiff…DANK. It had that certain headies smell everyone knows with a mixture of something else that I can’t remember.

Taste: Had a very pungent dank weed taste to it with a mix of something else. Kinda like you could taste the black in it.

Buzz Type: The buzz was killer. Crazy head rush immediately after taking a hit of a nice bong packed with this stuff. Smoked about the entire gram out of a bong with one friend. Buzz didn’t initially kick in until a little while after we had smoked. When it did, I was STONED.

Buzz Length: Medium. The high was about 1 and a half- 2 hours. The comedown was veryyyy long and made me really lazy after my high was done.
