Looks: A very middle-of-the-road green color, large flowers, frosty with a smattering of orange hairs here and there.

Smell: Spicy perfume-like smell, very much like OG Kush.

Taste: Strong.  Nice resin taste if you can avoid coughing.

Buzz Type: Mild head buzz.  Appetite stimulant.  Minor uplift.  Just didn’t seem as potent as it looks.

Buzz Length: Short-Medium.  1-2 hours.

Overall: Those expecting an indica kush high will be disappointed.  If you look at it as a sativa it’s OK but not nearly as good as something like ATF, or original OG Kush.  It was advertised as a sativa by the dispensary.

Buzz Report: Took one bong hit of this for a wake n’ bake.  It was nice for a while but I ended up smoking the whole gram by lunchtime.  –necros

Looks: Fuzzy, little beige trichomes all over these buds.  Light to medium green leaves with a moderate amount of orange hairs.

Smell: Strong, pungent sour-sweet sativa smell.

Taste: Even the larger bong hits I took seemed to go down smooth and sweet.

Buzz Type: Good elation and focus, great head buzz.

Buzz Length: Long. 2+ Hours.

Overall:  I’m usually not big on taste but man this stuff was fun to smoke.  The quality of the buzz was euphoric without bringing you down.  

Definitely a great choice for daytime or wake n’ bake.  –necros

Looks: Gazillions of orange hairs, nice tricome presence. 

They look like little mini-bushes like you would use to decorate a train set.  They also have a very Army camouflage vibe, but I’m not sure if that’s just the name influencing me.

Smell: A very subtle sativa-like smell, slightly fruity.

Taste: It’s a good taste, kind of generic marijuana taste.  Subtle sweet aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Heavy and stoney with good focus.

Buzz Length: Medium.  Almost two hours.

Overall: AK-47 has been in the running in so many High Times Cannabis Cups (in both the Sativa and Indica categories) that I had to try a gram when I saw it pop up.  

Since it’s described as “mostly sativa” I was hoping it would have sativa-like effects with the potency of an indica.  Well, it’s potent but it’s definitely an indica-like stoney buzz.  The sativa part adds some layers to the high though.  

A great strain to smoke before a movie.  I also got the munchies pretty bad so it’s a good appetite stimulant.  –necros

Looks: Sweet kushy goodness.  Dark to regular green flowers.  Some orange hairs here and there.  Mucho trichomes, it gives the buds a light hazy appearance. 

Smell: Spicy kush smell.

Taste: Medium to strong hits with a spicy resin kick.

Buzz Type: Strong.  Extremely potent indica head buzz . 

Buzz Length: Long.  2+ hours off of two bong hits.

Overall: This is my trusted go-to weed when I need something strong.  Currently my favorite Kush.

Buzz Report: This strain was my first medical marijuana experience (mixed with Gotti Hash) after I first got my card.  Fond memories!  –necros

Looks: Looks like orange mutant caviar.  THC crack.

Smell: Very faint hash-like smell.

Taste: Very thin, almost non-existent.

Buzz Type: Immediate creeper.  Contradictory?  Well it hit me instantly like a huge rush of THC.  Then it just got stonier as time went on, my eyes burning.  I  seriously felt like I had smoked THC crack.

Buzz Length: Medium-Long.  Almost 2 hours then started to come down.

Overall: Maybe something to have on hand for those of us that like to make widowmakers once in a while!  Otherwise just too expensive as a regular toke on its own.

Buzz Report: I had been mixing this with various hash/oil/weed combos, but I really didn’t know what it was adding to the mix until I smoked it on its own.  I dumped the whole container out on my tray and put the larger chunks back, leaving the fine/smaller chunks.  I’m guessing this was a $5-$10 hit.  If it were weed it would be a smaller sized shake hit as it looked really minimal in my bong bowl.  When I fired it up it started bubbling on the screen and then disappeared.  I continued to feed it flame and it smoked for an instant longer and then was spent.  Like I said before, it was a large instant rush of THC then just got better and better.  Not for the faint of heart!  –necros

Looks: Like honey oil.

Smell: I’ve got a cold right now but I can still smell bud.  This didn’t give any aroma that I could detect so very mild, if any.

Taste: Thin almost non-existent taste.

Buzz Type: Strong.  Hit me hard when mixed with weed.  Felt like a head and body high combo.  Gave me occasional warm body flashes/waves at first then after about twenty minutes I was just plain stoned.

Buzz Length: Long.  2+ hours or more depending on how much smoked.

Overall: When I went to my local collective to get a new glass bong stem that I had broken while baked the night before I saw a small oil jar on display on the counter.  I didn’t believe the label when I first saw it: 100% THC Oil, G$50.  That’s all it said on the plain label.  I said, “Is this for real?”  The guy behind the counter says yes, another guy behind the window said a guy came in with it a few days ago.  I started asking about the extraction process along with a bunch of other questions that they couldn’t answer.  I wasn’t prepared to buy anything other than the bong stem but this little jar forced me to reach for my credit card.

The top question on everyone’s mind is: “Is this stuff for real?”.  I think it has to be at the very least above 50% THC (and it very well could be 100%, I don’t know).  I’ve had very little experience smoking THC products that are over 50% THC so I’m guessing.  In my personal opinion it very well could be the real deal.  It seems to amplify a bud’s characteristics without adding anything except potency.

Buzz Report: I had to take a picture of the first drop I loaded into my bong.  I was hoping this little drop would get me stoned.  Perhaps I didn’t stack enough screens (I only used 3) but it was about a half bong chamber of wispy smoke in my 18 incher so I’m not sure I smoked the whole drop.  The effects of this miniscule hit felt like the equivalent of a sativa hit in potency.

After that I got a little more brave and loaded about a quarter of a hit of Lamb’s Bread and put a drop and a half of the oil on top.  After that it was blast off time!  -necros

Looks: Like mashed keif in appearance but this stuff was gooey/crumbly in texture like you would expect from a good hash.  Almost blonde.

Smell: Subtle fresh hash smell.

Taste: Normal sized bong hit of this stuff was not harsh (harsher than an equivalent weed hit though).  Exhaling was pure heaven, you could taste the THC on the smoke.  Wonderful hashy taste.

Buzz Type: I am loving the buzz qualities of Chem Dawg, it’s the closest I’ve found to my ‘perfect’ high.  Having active sativa attributes, it has that elation quality that helps depression.  A fun, clear, active type of high that still has stoney qualities.  I actually got some work done while enjoying myself!

Buzz Length: Long.  Over two hours off one bong hit.

Overall: Some great hash that I wish was more affordable.  While majestic by itself, it’s also a good mixer with any type of week.  I’ll probably keep some of this in my stash for special occasions.

Buzz Report: After a disappointing day of trying different ‘top’ sativas, this concentrate came to the rescue!  One hit and all was right with the world.  -necros

Looks: Like chunks of a dark brownie.

Smell: Typical hash smell, not too strong.

Taste: Hard going down then expands in your lungs.  Feels like smoking OG espresso.

Buzz Type: Creeper.  Avoid if you need to work because laziness and couch lock potential go up.  Good sedative qualities.

Buzz Length: Long.  Potent stuff.  I’m usually high 2-3 hours or more with this depending on how much I’ve smoked and what it’s mixed with.

Overall: Good DNA (OG Kush) and not too expensive make this a staple in my stash.

Buzz Report: I usually mix this with a good indica.  People don’t usually talk about the aphrodisiac qualities…well, this stuff has fueled many a passionate night!  Pillow talk?  No problem!

My first experience with medical marijuana was this stuff along with some Snoop Kush.  I hadn’t smoked in about a month so my tolerance was really low.  I took two bong hits of this mixed with the Snoop Kush.  After about two hours of being really, really high (almost too high) I forced myself to go to sleep and wear it off.  I woke up three hours later still high!  -necros

Looks: Mid to light green with big clumps of orange hairs and moderate trichome presence.

Smell: Fresh pine, not too strong.

Taste: Typical kushy taste, smooth.

Buzz Type: What you would expect from a strong indica, hits hard.  Nice head high with good focus.

Buzz Length: Long.  2+ hours off of one wake n’ bake bong hit.

Overall: This is some top medicine.  The first thing I noticed was the clumps of orange pistils which give the buds a fuzzy appearance.  I don’t know how they rate the THC content, but 23.33% seemed about right if you consider hash is around 30% and oil around 40%.

I thought all bud was “organic” and in reality I think it is.  But the manager at my dispensary said sometimes growers will use bleach and/or other chemicals in harvesting or processing.  I don’t think it actually ends up in the product that is smoked.  I think the main point was the stress caused to the plants.  Anyway, I’m not a grower so I don’t know what he was talking about.  But this bud is certified organic meaning no bleach or chemicals used, purest water and dirt, no stress caused to the plants and extra light used in growing compared to other strains.

Buzz Report: I did a wake n’ bake with this stuff two days in a row just to make sure it was as strong as I initially thought.  The answer is “YES”!  – necros

Yes, most growers use chemicals – though I am not familiar with the use of bleach.  The last cycle of the budding process should use just pure water to flush out all additives – everything used during the growing process.  Also, I do know that a few dispensaries (not sure which, would have to ask Mr. Chubbs) send their medicine out for THC content testing.  This may be one of those dispensaries. – Mrs. Chubbs

Taste: Good. Smooth with a nice sweet aftertaste and a warm headrush.

Buzz Type: Strong. Prevalent body buzz and a strong kush high.

Buzz Length: Long. 2+ Hours easily.

Overall: I heard Jupiter Kush won 1st prize in the L.A. medical marijuana contest. The manager at my dispensary said he had some customers that said it got them “too high”. It did the job without acting like a sedative which I thought was a plus. But after a day of smoking it I still slept soundly (I have occasional insomnia). Over-hyped but still a great choice for top tier bud.  –necros
