Type: Hybrid – Sativa dominant (90%-10%)

Price: $95/quarter ounce

Looks: Bright green buds with bright orange-red hairs. Lots of crystals. Reminded me of Cinderella 99, only lighter green.

Smell: Strong lemony-orange citrus – like Go-jo’s or other orange based cleaners. Almost overpowering.

Taste: Similar to the smell – strong lemon-orange citrus flavor. Again – overpowering all other tastes, and remains on the rear of your tongue.

Buzz Type: A VERY potent sativa high – hitting behind the eyes and relaxing your mind/mood.

Buzz Length: Long – the buzz lasted for 2+ hours.

Overall: This is a very smooth smoking strain, with looks, taste, and potency as well. After 2 bong hits I started to feel the buzz and a couple more had me ripped. A great uplifting smoke that left me feeling relaxed and in a better mood than before I smoked. Not an evening smoke, as it didn’t relax me enough to make me tired, but “cut the edge” and made my anxiety/stress/depression seem less worrisome. I’ll be heading back to the dispensary for more of this strain soon – a new alternative to Blue Dream for a daytime med. –NorCal_Cyclist

OK, so here’s the dealio. IE420Patient was fortunate enough to try the NUGGETRY Green Crack twice. This “version” as he calls it, is from a different grower in the NUGGETRY family with a different cutting. Let’s read on to see that the differences are:

Name: NUGGETRY Green Crack

From: California Patients Association (Dispensary – Santa Ana)

Grade: A

Type: Sativa

Price: $55/8th

Looks: Almost exactly like Green Crack Version 1 (V1) but, a bit lighter in green color.

Smell: Just like a pitcher of southern sweet tea.

Taste: Initially, the taste is very earthy with a bit of sour lemon funk hitting the back of the throat with the exhale. Rips very smooth with a sweet dry after taste that lingers in your mouth.

Buzz Type: Hits you right between the eyes. Noticeable cerebral pressure with light tingle around the nose. Tingle intensifies through the entire body. The tingle is similar to the effects of beta alanine (an ingredient used in body building products). I found myself wanting to move around a lot and I could not sit still.

Buzz Length: Above Average.

Overall: This version of Green Crack hit me in ways very different than other batches of Green Crack I’ve had. This version smoked very smooth; not as harsh as other batches I’ve tried. Unlike V1 this Version 2 (V2) motivates me to get up and move around vs. being immersed in the moment.

I felt my body jittery but, the head high was more heavy and mellower vs. V1 (which was more a heavy and uplifting high) and that head high overtakes the body buzz about half hour into a session. This version also had some great legs … the buzz length was noticeably longer. For reference, average to me is up to a hour, above average is past the hour mark with what I’d consider to be a small bowl fill (I am assuming my bowls are much smaller than most readers here).

Now to the million dollar question … which one is better? V1 at $60 or this V2 at $55? I think it will really depends on the kind of head buzz you are looking for. I say both are solid As. For me, I prefer V1 only because when it comes to sativas I want to be uplifted with focus. I desire that sense of extreme awareness and focus with sativas.

It’s hard to explain but, in terms of the actual head buzz, think of the head tingle being way more intense with V1 which I prefer. This one did not work my head the same way but I felt way more jittery in the body with V2. Because the head high was not as intense, I can work while medicating with V2 but, only for short periods as that jitteriness keeps me getting up from my desk chair. So for me, V1 would be for those times where I need visual enhancement and focus and V2 would be for the times where I had to do activities such as clean the house, work in the yard/garage, etc. Hope you guys understand all that! -IE420Patient

We’ve been getting a ton of NUGGETRY reviews, and I would feel remiss if I didn’t post them But I’m still gonna bring you reviews from everyone else. Trust me, we have loads in the queue.

I have learned that CPA has two versions of Green Crack. This is the original. I will post the follow-up review of #2 tomorrow.

Type: Sativa

Genetics: Possibly -> Skunk #1 x Sweet Leaf Afghani

Price: $60/8th

Looks: Tight and somewhat dense nugs. Squeezing a nug with two fingers is like squeezing a roll of Charmin (very soft with a rigid bounce back). Some nugs are so trich’ed out they look white. Noticeable protruding orange hairs which seems to be a signature of Green Crack.

Smell: Like fermented fruit. Very sweet with some funk on the back end. I am diggin’ the smell of this one. The smell intensifies if you put it through a grinder.

Taste: A bit fruity and tropical leaning more towards a sour lemony and pineapple side. Smokes a bit harsh. I coughed on every rip.

Buzz Type: Intense full body tingle. Extreme awareness. I killed all the lights in my house and on plasma watched Tron in HD and just got immersed in the colors. I also watched 2001: A Space Odyssey on this too. Movies like these on Green Crack took it to a whole other level. When “anyone” says that doing something is so better when done high/medicated/stoned, this is the kind of bud they are referring to. Green Crack “enhanced” everything!

Buzz Length: Medium.

Overall: This is a very solid batch of sativa. But, this is not the first time I’ve tried Green Crack. Looking back at my notes/files I have a Green Crack “folder” created from October 2009. I got it from a LA collective but, did not find it memorable or good enough take notes on it (and/or do a review). I just have photos. So, when I saw this on the menu at CPA I really did not give it much attention. But smelling and seeing this particular batch under the microscope changed my mind and thus, I had to give it a shot again and I am glad I did.

It seems like on the sativa side of the MMJ scale, the really good ones come and go and are not always widely available like the better Indicas. Hope this level of Green Crack stays around for sometime… one of the best sativas I’ve medicated with in a long time! The only thing stopping this from being an “A+” is the buzz length. I need one bowl too many to get me to a level I like. –IE420Patient

Looks: Trich crusted and semi-dense light and dark green buds.

Smell: Sour and funky gym socks.

Taste: Hints of sour lemon and a slight “flat” aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Cerebral – Head felt very loose and clear, Full Body – lots of tingle and itch, Slightly Hallucinogenic, the Giggles – I had the urge to watch the movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space which made me laugh my ass off.

Buzz Length: Above Average – Long.

Overall: With all the new boutique and designer strains out there, it’s good know that a now “classic” can still hold its own. Because of all the new varieties, I tend to overlook strains such as Chem Dawg. But rest assured, if faced with tons of choices and you don’t have a clue, consider Chem Dawg a safe bet.

I’ve had this strain only once before and my comparing my notes, both times Chem Dawg produced the same buzz properties. My “high” was very unique with this one. I don’t think I’ll be day medicating with this one if I have something important to do. But, if I don’t have sh*t to do, and want to be energized and not couch locked, this is a top pick for me. I found my mind wandering quite a bit on this and over-analyzing things. Sounds were amplified (the birds outside sounded kick ass, it felt like I was hearing “things” miles away).

So, although I felt “uplifted and clear” being focused was not a strong point of this strain for me as the “enjoyable surroundings” made me continually shift focus. It’s better to be outdoors while medicating with this one or in a casual social gathering. For you kids out there, drop the “X” and smoke some Chem Dawg before raving – back in my “club” days (uh, umm), this would have been my top pick Sativa for a good night out. –IE420Patient

Looks: The buds are a dark green color with LOTS of orange hairs everywhere! Trichomes aren’t that visible to the naked eye but they’re about 60/40 amber/cloudy under a x100 microscope. For looks I would give it an 8/10 because the abundance of orange hairs make up for the lack of visible trichs.

Smell: Well what can I really tell you about the smell, I was a little skeptical about the legitimacy of the strain while growing and curing it because of the lack of kush smell but once properly cured it smells DELICIOUS.

Imagine a room full of pine trees with just a small hole just big enough to stick your head into so you can take a huge whiff….that’s kinda what it’s like. The smell is a very distinct kush stank with a hint of lemon scent (PINEY!) that could not be mistaken easily for anything else.

I give the smell a 9/10. The only reason I’m not giving it a 10 is because the smell is still containable (doesn’t seep strongly through plastic mediums).

Taste: Vaped it and it tastes similar to how it smells but not really exceptional, I’ll give it a 7/10.

Buzz Type: It’s not an instant smack you on the face high but after a couple minutes you just want to sit there and do what entertains you and EAT!

Buzz Length: Short-Medium. After 2 bowls through a bong I would say it lasted a strong hour before I needed to medicate again.

Overall: I’m a medicinal patient that needs to consume a heavy indica for help with sleeping. This is the strain. I would also recommend this for people that need help eating because this one gives you the munchies like a mother haha. Thanks for reading. –ecslickz

Looks: Small, tight frosty nugs with reddish/orange hairs.

Smell: Very strong, piney but sweet, and a very small hint of fuel. This OG has a strong and lasting aroma. It just reeks, definitely a plus!

Taste: Smooth citrus and piney, strong aftertaste. Leaves your throat tingling accompanied with an aftertaste of lemon zest.

Buzz Type: Straight up stoned. You instantly feel it kick in right after the first exhale. It seems to go straight to your head and gradually throughout the body. Every hit increases the intensity. I would recommend eye drops because they definitely leave your eyes dry. Very potent and tasty.

Buzz Length: Medium/Long. 2 ½ – 3 hours depending on tolerance.

Overall: I usually stick to OG’s. Most of the OG’s are usually potent and always seem to get you where you need to be. Jupiter OG would have to be at the top when it comes to overall quality. This is good for your after work session or when you just want to relax. Jupiter is bud that leaves you happy and spaced. Grade A bud. –ArtisticMinds

Looks: We’ve all heard the expression, "man these looked covered in sugar!" and that would be the perfect way to describe these buds, especially when broken open. The buds are light green with bright orange hairs running throughout them, and trich coverage EVERYWHERE. Absolutely beautiful, pretty compact buds. Well grown and cured. I think the first picture sort of looks like some deep sea creature off the bottom of the ocean floor.

Smell: Smells sort of like a fruity or citrusy bud and a real pungent, cat piss smelling bud crossed with each other. It’s one of the most unique smells I’ve had in a bud. It’s not real overpowering where you open the jar of the nugs, and the whole room smells up instantly, but it is pretty pungent.

Taste: Very smooth, not too incredibly harsh on the exhale. Great taste outta the clean glass. Has a good normal nug taste to it with a hint of something else I can’t quite put my finger on, maybe some lemon or citrus of some sort. Taste is very pleasing.

Buzz Type: Right after a rip you feel the buzz come on, eyes immediately get heavy. After the bowl was down I thought I was stuck to my couch, with a huge weight on me. One of the best body highs I’ve had to date, which is impressive. I found myself watching bull riding, but didn’t notice until the event was almost over. Wow.

Buzz Length: Long. For how much I smoke, one bowl about .3 or .4 got me ripped for a solid 2-3 hours, which is fairly long for me. Very, very pleased with the length.

Overall: Loved the bud. Great buds with a great smoke and high. –Schnerp

Genetics: The Big Buddha Cheese backcrossing project from Big Buddha Seeds. Unique landrace indica.

Price: appx $2500 Mexican pesos/30 grams ($197USD)

Looks: Deep orange hairs with big sawed leaves, dark green leaves, some fan leaves as big as my palm. The plant is 1.8m tall with a few thin branches and lots of buds!

Smell: Highly stinky, a sweet fruit flavor all over the grow house.

Taste: Explosion of lemon. It has a nice taster that has the freshness of a forest and feel like anesthesia in your mouth and tongue. Acid on the exhale and stays in your mouth for a few minutes.

Buzz Type: Nice upper buzz if you smoke a little, not sleepy if you continue smoking. Feels like an exstasy trip…and good for love, really euphoric and creative.

Buzz Length: Long – medium. For 6 hours you feel like Kalificado. It creeps up on you in about 5 minutes and then plateaus for 2 hours.

Overall: Smelly bud to have around. Incredible big buds full of crystals. Smokeable at any time of day. It’s best features are the smell, good yield and psychoactive properties.

Growing Tips: In Mexico city (~ 2400 meter above sea level), this strain is strong against bugs, resists environmental C02 concentrations (city smog) and changing weather (rainy to sunny on the same day). It is good for the hottest season (March-August) where temperatures average 24C. The buds are bigger (200 gr from 1 plant). In the winter (September-February) where the temperature averages 16C, The Kali tightens up so the buds are smaller with a lower yield. –eL hOLANDES

Smell: It reminds me of sour lemony Captain Crunch “Crunch Berries”. A lot of citrus in the smell.

Taste: Smooth tasty smoke, very citrusy like the smell.

Buzz Type: It’s a good heavy body high. I like to smoke it in the evenings to help me sleep.

Buzz Length: Long. A good 2-3 hours usually.

Overall: A very tasty way to end the days of my week. This strain is excellent when you just want to relax and watch something on TV. It has a very sweet flavor and curious smell to it. I would definitely buy more if it came around. –FRESHzip
