Type: Indica

Price: $50/8th

Looks: Buds are mainly medium-dark green with some grey-purple. Hairs are close to “burnt orange”. Very frosty buds, casting a silver sheen.

Smell: Very mild sweet smell.

Taste: Fresh and herbal – very smooth. Spicy/Kush after taste.

Buzz Type: A nice mellow buzz that developed into a deep couch locking body high as I continued smoking.

Buzz Length: Long – the buzz lasted for over 2-2.5 hours.

Overall: Normally I don’t seek out Kush strains, but the look, smell, and recommendation from the dispensary owner got me to pick up this sample. I was really “jacked up” after kick boxing/sparring for an hour when I got home to try this bud out – 1 nice bong hit relaxed me and a few more had me leaning back on the couch watching TV. Smoked some more and my eye lids grew REALLY heavy, and headed off to bed. Another great night time medicine to help with body aches and insomnia. Also gave me a serious case of munchies – Corn Pops never tasted so good –NorCal_Cyclist

Looks: Nice tight nugs with a nice frosty appearance. Very fat calyxes with a hint of purple way down deep.

Smell: Very, very nice earthy kush scent with an overlay of vanilla coffee!

Taste: The taste is an earthy kush flavor with hints of vanilla that linger delightfully after you exhale.

Buzz Type: This buzz announces it’s presence immediately! I felt the first hit permeate through my head and body as I held it in. A nice very pleasant type of buzz that neither pinned me to the couch or made me want to go do the dishes…..LOL. It’s the kind of buzz where you’re pretty much up for anything, PS3 or messing around the yard.

After 4 hits off a 0.5 gram joint the high just kept on ramping up till I forgot about the joint and it went out. One great thing about the buzz was no couch lock and no anxiety, just a wonderful feel good relaxing high.

Buzz Length: Long…About 2 hours-2.5 hrs. No hard drop, just kinda fades away at the end.

Overall: This is a great strain for just about anyone. With this batch testing out at 18% THC it has the kick to satisfy old school expectations with none of the anxiety that some newcomers would experience with more Sativa like strains. A good strain to keep on the shelf for general purpose recreation. –Jholar

Looks: Light green, very fluffy just like a bunch of little pineapples. There was also a little purps in there too.

Smell: Smells deliciously sweet and slightly sour.

Taste: It has the usual pineapple taste. Sour yet sweet like it smells.

Buzz Type: Stony, almost a psychedelic feel.

Buzz Length: Long. 3-4 hours.

Overall: It’s definitely an indica – it puts you on your ass and is an awesome looking bud too! –COGanjaClub

Looks: Not dry like stress. Snow fell from heaven all over this holy green flower. You can press a nug tightly and it’ll hold the flattened form.

Smell: Marshy. At one point, I found myself eyes closed, nose dunked into – actually touching – the freshly ground Kush. Tangy. Smooth. Rich. Confident. Gentle. There’s a “thol” in there, but I’m not sure it’s “menthol”. Some would say it’s a “Sol” but I don’t like comparing marijuana to cleaning products.

Taste: Using Vapor Genie. Somewhat like the Jupiter I’ve smoked. I usually just taste piney light menthol unless it’s middle to low grade no-flavor. But Kush has something different, something reminiscent of wet grass or hay, but not in a bad way.

Buzz Type: Body and Head. Head feels light, balloon-like, and empty. Usually, that’s a description of a blonde cheerleader, but whatever. (Note: I really have met some very intelligent blonde cheerleaders.)

Nice, relaxing body, focused mind on work, and motivated me enough to take a bunch of glamour shots of its flowers, and to submit this review. That’s a self-reflexive sort of creativity, but what the hell.

Buzz Length: A long time. Gently tapers off. Warning: You will want to immediately smoke more. A great strain to medicate with, but may have the potential to become addictive. Please medicate responsibly.

Overall: It’s a one-two knockout hybrid kush – a mellow joy. At one point, I opened my vapor genie to find a freshly packed bowl, then found myself thanking my previous self from minutes before for giving me this kind little surprise… I really don’t know if I want to smoke anything but kush now. Maybe I’m just entering an “OG fad” or something, but great marijuana is great marijuana no matter what you call it, and this is GREAT MARIJUANA. In sum, Obama lives up to his presidential status. –MMC

Looks: Very dense buds with a good amount of trichomes, covered in orange hairs.

Smell: Strong Kush smell with fuel undertones.

Taste: Potent piney Kush taste with a mild sour fuel aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Strong. Very strong initial hit that you can instantly feel in your eyes. This is definitely a "couch-lock" strain as it will have you feeling physically attached to your seat. Definitely great for movies!

Buzz Length: ?

Overall: Very impressed with Afghan Kush! One of the better strains I’ve recently acquired from this source. Potent taste, smell, and buzz. 2 thumbs up for Afghan Kush! –tryptamine

Looks: Dense dark green nugs with a good amount of trichomes and a small amount of hairs.

Smell: Classic Kush smell with a strong earthy undertone.

Taste: Mild Kush taste with a very earthy taste to it.

Buzz Type: Strong. Initial hit is satisfying and hard. You can feel the potency of the smoke as it dissipates in your lungs.

Buzz Length: Short. Buzz doesn’t last very long, lasting up to an hour (depending on dose).

Overall: Good strain, nothing special for a Kush. I’m assuming this strain wasn’t properly cured as I’m convinced of it’s potential. –tryptamine

Ahh, Hindu Kush. Named after the 500 mile mountain range stretching between NW Pakistan and Afghanistan. Must be a pretty stoney place!

Looks: Just great. Very well trimmed, nice and clear trichs and lots of em. This one certainly is holding its grade for the looks and the fact that it has a medicinally active effect.

Smell: It offers your traditional kush aroma and it sends a mild hash aroma through your nose, but it’s softened out with a nice warm earthy overtone. This particular sample wasn’t extremely strong smelling.

Taste: It had a nice soft earthy flavour with a resinous overtone to it. It was very clean, you could tell that this was well flushed.

Buzz Type: It had a nice mellow stone to it. It made me feel very calm and relaxed, but it wasn’t at all intense like I would have hoped for. I found that the calmness lasted beyond the buzz length, but the sedating part of the buzz was just on the medium side. This may be a trait of the strain, if anyone has some insight there.

Buzz Length: Medium – 1 1/2 – 2 hrs.

Overall: It had a nice mild aroma, with a mild buzz along with it. The sample was well flushed and properly cured. I am on the lookout for a knockout version of the same strain. –m1ke

Just when you think you’re tired of seeing OG Kush, m1ke goes and brings us something incredibly lovely.

Look: Nice and healthy green colour brightening to a nice golden colour in the center. Very consistent hair colouration throughout the buds and between each fold you pry apart (as you can see, I pulled apart the last one for the photos) you find swollen trichs further suggesting a nicely mature specimen of cannabis.

Smell: Your typical OG Kush smell that has a warm earthy tone to it, brightened up with a very slight citrus undertone. Now, the only thing this could be compared to, at all, is stepping out of the cottage on a cool clean morning up north or mid-winter and taking a nice deep breath of clean and crisp unaltered air.

Taste: Very nice and clean, something that you wouldn’t want to put anything else but glass to it or vaporize, but in extreme
circumstances only the finest papers should be used. Otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the freshness of the flavour, it has a very soft clean and fresh, for lack of a better word kushy/earthy flavour that has an almost menthol freshness to it.

Buzz Type: As clean as the smell and taste, the buzz is right in line offering a very focused and clear head, but dishing out the sedating qualities of a good indica. This one really hit nicely, pinning a smile, but didn’t seem to build up to anything really intense.

Buzz Length: Long – 2 1/2 – 3 hrs.

Overall: Just a pleasure to smoke and definitely has me on the look out for more organic strains. It didn’t seem to have the devastation that a solid OG usually offers, especially for the price, but it stood up with the buzz length and stood out with an incredibly fresh and clean smell, taste and buzz that was certainly unique. –m1ke

Looks: Fluffy with some popcorn-size nugs mixed with some finger nugs. An emerald green covered in reddish orange hairs and flowing with trichomes.

Smell: I went into my dealer’s house and immediately I was hit with the piney and earthy smell.

Taste: Very strong, first rip came out through the nose and I’m pretty sure I no longer have nose hair. Tastes very close to the smell with a very kushy aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Smoke 2 bowls, went hiking, got lost for about an hour, finally got free and I was still baked.

Buzz Length: Medium, a bowl will last about an hour and a half.

Overall: A bit drier than I would have liked, if not it would have gotten an A without a doubt. Still a great strain, definitely hope this is in town for a bit longer. –glovemaster
