Grade: C-

Type: Hybrid (Indica dominant)

Price: $53/5 grams

Looks: Medium/dark green with burnt-orange hairs. White and cloudy trichomes. The pictures actually look better than how it does in person.

Smell: Mildly fruity, wet wood undertone. Rather underwhelming.

Taste: Mostly minty. A hint of citrus. And something else that’s not supposed to be here (explained below).

Buzz Type: Full on head stone. Eyes relax to the point of losing focus. Medium couch lock. Hunger stimulator. Homework ruiner. Not "fun".

Buzz Length: Medium. High kicks in instantly when ripped from a bong, about 5 minutes after a joint. Peak comes and goes quickly, followed by a brutal comedown 1.5 hours after your first hit.

Overall: First off this batch wasn’t properly flushed. Hitting it reveals the fertilizers the grower neglected to clear out before harvesting. I’m not sure how much this affected the buzz type, but the taste suffered as a result.

This particular strain from Prague is only useful for alleviating a variety of pain issues localized in the head. However, you won’t want to do much of anything when on it, unless smoked while in a very upbeat mood already. I don’t like weed that stones my head out -but if you do, then this is your guy. –edrag87

Looks: First thing that came to mind was "man oh man is this bud leafy." This is my first time with Green Crack and I don’t think this version does it justice at all. Orange hairs, Ninja Turtle green with some purple leaves here and there, and a light layer of frosting.

Smell: Super piney with a little bit of a sweet spice.

Taste: Tasted kind of harsh, could be due to the poor grooming/growing or it wasn’t flushed thoroughly. When you exhaled through your nose you could really taste/smell the pine.

Buzz Type: This Green Crack wasn’t as potent as some of the other strains I’ve had lately. Starts in the head and slowly slithers down to the rest of your body, not as social as the other sativas I’ve had which make me think its a hybrid. Not a clear high of any sort, made me sort of space/zone out and not pay attention to much going on around me.

Buzz Length: Short – maybe an hour, I ended up blazing my entire half 8th that I had purchased before the night was over.

Overall: Like I said before, this version of Green Crack I don’t feel does the name any justice and priced too high for its quality (or lack of). I was expecting to get my socks knocked off but I guess you’ll have that sometime. The buds were way too leafy for me, but I do remember having some killer munchies.

I would recommend trying this if you haven’t, I’m sure not everyone’s was like mine and I can definitely see its potential. –nycdgrower

5 Different Concentrates

Ahh, I’ve been waiting to see a tincture review.

Name: Glycerin Tincture, Watermelon

From: South Coast Patients Center (Dispensary – Santa Ana)

Grade: C+

Type: Concentrate – Tincture, Sativa

Price: $30 (small dropper bottle)

Looks: A gooey like liquid. Very sticky.

Smell: Very strong hash like smell hinted with watermelon.

Taste: Actually, this one tasted pretty good. Very sweet. Watermelon infused honey…

Buzz Type: Very light to medium body buzz. I started off taking 3 dropper fulls; one in each side of the cheek and under the tongue. Held the medicine in my mouth for as long as I could before swallowing. I felt nothing… nada… for over 30 minutes.

So, I took 5 more dropper fulls which is about shy of 1/3rd of the bottle. About another half hour in I felt a very slight body buzz. VERY SLIGHT.

On a different day, I put 10 dropper fulls in approximately a 8oz cup of coffee. Since the taste was so good, I figured I could use this as a sweetener. Within 15 minutes had a pretty "medium" head buzz going on with increased intensity over the next half hour. Overall, not bad BUT, again this was 10 droppers (about 1/3rd of the bottle) so, I had to use quite a bit to get to a satisfying spot.

Overall: I went to SCPC to get some THC Medi-Strips but they were out. Needing a "stealth" medicine, I opted to try this Glycerin since I never had it before. Needless to say due to amount I have to use, I was not impressed so I would not recommend this for anyone with high tolerance. But if your tolerance is low by all means give this one a shot just for the taste and using this in coffee, tea, 7-up is a great way to use this to get medicated.

Although expensive "per serving" for me, if I worked at an office (cubical farm), this would be a "stealth" way to medicate and with buzz factor being very light to medium, some may be able to medicate at work and "look medicated" and function "normally" if you know what I mean –IE420Patient

Sounds like it would be a great medical alternative if someone can’t smoke. –Mrs. Chubbs

Looks: Dense, dense, dense! Really tight popcorn nugs. Surprisingly not purple really, the purple really only showed under flash. Light amber trichs and plenty of orange hairs. I was expecting some purple once it was broken, like when I cracked open some purple cream, but it was a no show.

Smell: Very buttery in its whole, but once it’s broken up it gives off a peppery citrus aroma with a very, and I mean very, light pepper scent, not spicy.

Taste: Somewhat similar to the smell, minus the butter, nothing extraordinary though. Taste and look is why it gets a C.

Buzz Type: Whatever you are sitting in, you will sink in and drop anchor. Heavy couch lock and serious munchies. I wound up eating a McGangBang (McD’s double quarter pounder with a McChicken patty in the middle).

Buzz Length: Medium-long. Solid 2 hours, with no real burnout to speak of. Had no problem shakin’ it off. But that could have been due to the food.

Overall: This strain was moderate to average. Expensive for the lack luster results on looks and taste. The high made up for that with the strong relaxing couch lock. If you want to get some sleep this’ll help. For social situations, you’ll just sit around staring at walls. — kDAVR

Looks: Bright green/white. Trimmed well. Lots of orange/yellow hairs.

Smell: I guess you could say it was lemony. I’m really not sure how to describe it, but it wasn’t attractive at all.

Taste: ROUGH. I was extremely disappointed in the taste as well as the smell. I would even go as far as saying the grower f’d up along the line or possibly did not flush the plant. Whatever the problem was, it came out bad on both ends.

Buzz Length/Type: I was told it would be a strong indica buzz, but I really couldn’t say. After smoking just one rip I stopped and went for a can of grape crush. I packed a bowl of OG Kush a couple minutes later to refresh myself.

Overall: I’ve smoked a few Hashplant hybrids over the years and they were nice and smooth. I read the Train Wreck x Hash Plant review and it seemed to have the same problems as the lemon. I’m not really sure what happened here. –stak

Looks: The buds look great. They are dense.

Smell: Smells fruity but yet with a with a nice skunkiness to it.

Taste: Disappointing. Does not taste like much. I was really hoping for a fruity taste as the smell but nothing.

Buzz Type: Relaxed.

Buzz Length: Medium. 1-2 Hours.

Overall: This bud was nice enough for the price, but far from a powerhouse. I gave this bud a C+ because of the lack in taste and the quality of the high. There was just nothing special about this pot, just seemed like the run of the mill pot to me. –OlyWa

Seems decent enough for the price. I remember the days (waaaayyyyy back when) when we were young and poor and a $20 sack of this was enough to brighten our day! All you youngsters out there already having access to the quality herb from dispensaries…well, it’s just crazy! –Mrs. Chubbs

An edible review just in time for the holidays:

Type: Edible

Price: $7 each

Looks: Like a piece of homemade rocky road confection.

Smell: When I unwrapped this thing it was all about the smell of chocolate – dark, rich, sweet chocolate. I smelled a little marshmallow smell and a very, very tiny amount of the green butter.

Taste: It tasted wonderful. It was a sweet chocolate marshmallow walnut treat that melted in my mouth. It had the very slightest taste of green butter while eating it but none of that really green aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Mellow body and head high. Not very strong. I could have done a rip off of the old bong before I ate the little treat and I would have been better off.

Buzz Length: Medium. 1 1/2 hours.

Overall: I would say I really enjoyed the Canna Roll while eating it much as I would the rocky road confections my grandma makes at x-mas time.

Having said that, it really didn’t get me that high. Maybe it’s one of those things where you have to eat a couple or something. But at $7 each I don’t think I could afford enough to do the trick.

I believe that most of these edibles such as cookies, brownies and confections are made using green butter. I do know from experience that green butter – when I have made it at home – sometimes separates and the clear stuff on the bottom is super strong, while the more cloudy stuff on the top is not as strong. I always mix it before using it in any recipe.

I am sure whoever is making edibles and selling them through a dispensary would know that, and would make sure their butter is well mixed before making a batch of any edible. Maybe it was just a weak batch. I will give them one more try someday just to be fair. It was really tasty. –SantaCruzMts

Hmm, its been a while, but I have the opposite understanding. I thought when the butter and water separated during the hardening process the butter on top was the more potent. Thoughts? –Mrs. Chubbs
