Of course I excepted and will be speaking on both Saturday and Sunday (June 13-14) at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. If you are at the show come by and say “high”! 

The THC Expo, for those who don’t know, is a HUGE event taking place this weekend at the L.A. Convention Center in downtown L.A. at the exact same time as Erotica L.A. (also in the L.A. Convention Center)

The Expo is a business to consumer trade show (businesses showing off their new stuff to everyday Joe’s) being organized by Brian Roberts and Todd McCormick.

Rumor has it they have spent almost $500k of their own money putting the THC Expo together and are expecting a packed house.

From what I have been told there is going to be just about every kind of weed related business under 1 roof all selling their wares.

I’m talking about seed companies from Amsterdam, clone banks, medical marijuana dispensaries, growers, Dutch coffee shops etc.

The show floor has been divided into the following categories:

- Media Entertainment

- Culture

- Art

- Cosmetics

- Hemp

- Foods

- Utensils

- Doctors / Attorneys

- Grow

- And a HUUUUGE section for “clubs”

If you are even remotely close to the Los Angeles area this weekend and smoke weed, take the time to come by and check out the THC Expo.

Trust me when I tell you this will be the best $10 you have spent in a long time.

Ticket Price is $10 each day at the door. ($20 for both days)

Like I said, I will be hanging out at the show both days and have even got a room at one of the closet hotels in case anyone wants to put together an impromptu session.  –Chubbs

Green Angel of Malibu has not only agreed to sponsor the medication to be reviewed, but they have also agreed to host the event in their vapor lounge!

So why would I plan 3 events before the 1st one takes place you ask?

My plan is to have a few small events instead one big event. I think it will be more fun and allow the people attending more time to review as opposed to sitting around trying to meet everyone.

I am thinking we’ll have 7 or 8 people per event. If for some reason there is less than 21-24 people that want to attend, we’ll let some members go to more than one.

A few years ago I went to one of the best concerts of my life. Here is the story of this wonderful day.

I was on my way home from Lake Tahoe after an epic weekend of boarding around Squaw and Northstar. Anyway, I get a call from one of my buddies saying that he has 2 tickets to a Gnarls Barkley and Flaming Lips show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. I said hell yes. I get home and immediately go to the city for the show. My other friend who had been invited was bringing the goods.

I believe we smoked one jizzo of White Lights (Northern Lights x White Rhino) during the Gnarls Barkley set and one jay of an unnamed killer (forgot which one) during the Flaming Lips set.

The Gnarls Barkley set was mind blowing. They came on stage wearing space suits and a huge screen behind them looped pictures of galaxies (great touch). I don’t need to tell you that it was awesome. I remember thinking that the Flaming Lips better rock my socks off or else. Holy crap I knew right when Wayne Coyne (lead singer) came out in this inflatable hamster bubble thing that this show was going to be great.

There were some streamers going everywhere and a whole lot of audience interaction, a great music experience. I’d recommend to anyone who gets the chance to see either bands, take it, they are both great showmen and hey maybe you will luck out and get to see them together. It happens.  –BertSugar

While I agree that the concert was probably a blast, I wish you would of given us some more detail about both the herb you smoked and the herb scene at the concert. Next time.   –Chubbs

G13 x Hash Plant – With parent like these, how can you go wrong!

Bubblegum Haze – So juicy and bubblegum like that it was hard not to throw a nug in your mouth.

If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to be a pot farmer in Northern California then this is the movie for you.

Homegrown is 2 parts Cheech & Chong, 2 parts Wall Street, with a little Usual Suspects sprinkled on top.

The movie starts out with 3 guys, (Hank Azaria, Billy Bob Thornton and Ryan Phillippe) camped out guerilla style watching over a huge outdoor crop in the mountains on Northern California. Their boss, "Malcolm" played by John Lithgow who is a marijuana millionaire arrives by chopper one day to inspect the crop and upon landing is murdered by the pilot who then flies away. The 3 farmers are convinced that the murder signals the start of a raid by a group of thieves known as rippers who steal crops.

In a panic, Thornton, Azaria and Phillipe bail on the plants and head for cover at the house Lucy (Kelly Lynch) who use to be Azaria’s girlfriend and is now in charge of the harvesting and packaging of Malcolm’s marijuana. After a while the 3 decided to go back and check to see if the rippers left any weed for them to salvage. To their surprise, everything is still in tact and looks just as it did when they left it. Even Malcolm’s dead body.

In a hurry they decide not to tell anyone what’s happened, burry Malcolm and pack as much weed as they can pack into the back of the truck and bail. They get a LOT of weed and head back to Lucy’s house to begin the trimming. Lucy gives them a hand the whole time thinking that Malcolm is still alive and well at his high rise office in downtown San Francisco.

Once the weed is ready ready, Jack (Thornton) decides to keep up with charade that Malcolm is alive and he attempts to set up a $3 million deal with Danny (Jon Bon Jovi), a local wholesaler.

While all this is going on Jack is also trying to impersonate Malcolm on the telephone in an attempt to find out who killed him. There are some good roles in this movie for sure. Sierra (Jamie Lee Curtis) plays the head of an underground group of growers. Judge Reinhold plays a crooked cop. Ted Dansen makes an appearance as an out of control mobster.

Without giving away too much, the big drug deal goes totally sideways and Jack is left trying to salvage it all.

In my opinion, Homegrown is one of the best movies never to make it to the big screen. From what I have read, apparently it was a little to realistic. Even the fake pot plants kept getting stolen off the set.
