Type: Indica

Price: $60/8th

Looks: Dark green, with deep purple throughout. Covered in trichomes.

Smell: Super sweet, almost like raspberries.

Taste: Very sweet and very fruity.

Buzz Type: Medium. The buzz creeps from a light laughy head high into a body high that pins you to the couch.

Buzz Length: Long. After two blunts and a few bong loads of Amethyst, I was high for over two hours.

Overall: A great strain that both looks and tastes great and is worth every penny.

Buzz Report: I bought four grams of Amethyst and rolled two blunts. As soon as I took the first hit, I knew this bud was going to screw me up. I was high from the blunts for about two hours. As I was coming down, I decided to have a couple of bowls in the vaporizer. If you are looking for the best way to smoke this, I would highly recommend using a vaporizer. If you have a chance to get this bud, get it. -mbreezy420

I have not bought a vial of kief in a while. After reading this Bubba Kush Kief review from Mervinthepersian, I think I am going to have to hunt some down. There is just something nice about being able to quickly sprinkle a little bit on a bowl right before lighting up.

Price: Was given a gram as a freebie for my first visit. Forgot to ask about the price.

Looks: Dangerous. Most of the kief was compacted into mini nugs which I would scoop out and dump onto my bowl.

Smell: Very spicy. Smells like some potent kief.

Taste: Almost devoid of any real taste.

Buzz Type: Strong, immediate forehead buzz that knocks you out.

Buzz Length: Short. About 1-2 Hours.

Overall: A nice addition to your bowl, not really meant to be smoked alone. The burnout is hard and I took a nap afterwards and woke up feeling pretty good. It was great that it was a freebie but is not something I would actually set out to buy. I’d rather buy some hash. –Mervinthepersian

This may just be the best $45 sack of weed I have ever bought. Check out this FAT 1/8th of Purple Wheelchair that I scored from HC Remedies just before they shut down.

Name: Purple Wheelchair

From: HC Remedies (Dispensary – Closed)

Grade: A

Type: Hybrid

Price: $45/8th, $340/ounce

Looks: Nice looking green nugs with purple and green leaves mixed throughout. Tons of crazy looking bright orange hairs.

Smell: Like a basket of fruit mixed with a little mint.

Taste: Strong, thick smoke that had the flavor of menthol and cedar.

Buzz Type: One word…..munchies. Man, after smoking 1 big joint I was incredibly baked. Uplifting high at first that comes with strong munchies. Hard burnout.

Buzz Length: Medium. Had the buzz lasted longer, I’d of given Purple Wheelchair an A+

Overall: While I think the purple coloring in the bud is temperature induced, I didn’t really care. Purple Wheelchair got me way baked. Surprised the hell out of me since it was only $45.

Buzz Type: I chose to fire up some Purple Wheelchair for my normal wake-n-bake session. After 1 joint I ate 3 huge bowls of Crunch Berries, went for a run and then came home and crashed. Good stuff for sure. –Chubbs

Just another reason why I wish HC Remedies was still open. Headband x Herojuana was an extremely potent strain that had my eyes looking blood red.

From: HC Remedies (Dispensary – Closed)

Grade: A

Type: Hybrid

Price: $55/8th, $400/Ounce

Looks: Very big, light green buds with small dark green leaves throughout. Nice wild looking red hairs everywhere.

Smell: Mix of fruit and spice.

Taste: Nice and clean smoke with a very fruity aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Creeper. Takes about 20 minutes to fully feel the effect of the high.

Buzz Length: Long. 2-3 Hours with a high tolerance.

Overall: Headband x Herojuana is one of those hybrids where it just makes sense. The combination of 2 great parents makes for a soaring high.

Buzz Report: Talk about catching me off guard. After taking a few tokes I was a little disappointed. About 20 minutes later I realized it was some serious creeper and I was BAKED. Good stuff for sure. –Chubbs

I really wish that HC Remedies was still open. They had great prices, a killer selection and except for the 1st time I went there, were never too crowded. Take a look at this Compton OG Kush I got from them a little while ago. It was KILLER!

Type: Indica

Price: $55/8th

Looks: Very nice, golf ball size lime green nugs with thin light orange hairs.

Smell: Typical Kush smell. Like menthol with a little wood.

Taste: Very good. Smooth minty smoke that expands a lot in your lungs.

Buzz Type: Very heavy, hard hitting indica stone that has you locked on the couch eating ice cream and cookies all morning.

Buzz Length: Long. 2.5+ Hours

Overall: A great example of the now world famous OG Kush. I don’t know if it was actually grown in Compton or not but it was BOMB!

Buzz Report: There is really not much to report because after I smoked some Compton OG Kush, all I did was sit around and eat junk food. –Chubbs

Looks: Fluffy and very frosty looking dense buds that look like they are covered in snow. My camera does not do these buds justice.

Smell: Like pineapple and spices.

Taste: A little like the smell but mostly like a bowl of fruit.

Buzz Type: Very nice immediate high that hits the forehead first and then circles to the back of the head. Nice body high as well that I did not expect from this sativa strain. Used appx. .2g.

Buzz Length: Long. 2-4 Hours depending on the tolerance.

Overall: If I had not misplaced my grinder, I could have had a proper smoke out of my wonderful Jack Herer pipe (that’s another review entirely). It was my first time at the Westside Caregivers Club and after some thinking about whether to get an 1/8th of Romulan or Maui Wowee, I decided on the Maui Wowee since they only get it in around twice a year.

It’s actually quite powerful and is good for upset stomachs, anxiety and concentration. I actually found myself saying “wow” every couple of seconds because I didn’t expect the bud to hit so hard so quickly. –Mervinthepersian

I am always get excited when I comes across a new variety of OG Kush. Especially when it’s a strong one. Kryptonite OG Kush from the now closed HC Remedies is just that.

Name: Kryptonite OG Kush

From: HC Remedies – Closed (Dispensary – Woodland Hills)

Grade: A+

Type: Indica

Price: $55/8th, $400/Ounce

Looks: Great big chunky nugs that are just dripping with thc.

Smell: Very pungent Kush smell with a hint of skunk. Stinks up the room.

Taste: Menthol with resin aftertaste.

Buzz Type: Strong. Heavy indica buzz. Red and heavy eyes included.

Buzz Length: Long. I liked Kryptonite OG Kush so much that each session consisted of at least 3-4 big tokes. After that I’d be high for 2-3 hours. Very heavy come-down.

Overall: One of the best varieties of OG Kush that I have smoked in a long time. I was very impressed.

Buzz Report: I don’t think there was one session where I smoked Kryptonite OG Kush and walked away even close to being sober. An indica for indica lovers. –Chubbs

I am not 100% sure of the genetics but this Purple Madness is one of the “creepiest” hybrid’s I have ever smoked.

From: HC Remedies (Dispensary)

Grade: A

Type: Hybrid

Price: $55/8th

Looks: Lots of very dark purple coloring throughout, not just the leaves. Some nice green leaves and dark orange hairs.

Smell: Slight pine scent but mostly a strong cat piss like smell.

Taste: Very flavorful smoke. Strong cedar taste.

Buzz Type: Nice and slow creeper buzz. After it hits you 100%, you’re done.

Buzz Length: Very long. Because it took so long to fully kick in it felt like Purple Madness kept me high all day.

Overall: A surprise strain for sure. I had not heard of Purple Madness before this review but I can honestly say that after having smoked some I’m a big fan.

Buzz Report: After having just thoroughly cleaned my bong I smoked probably 2 grams of Purple Madness and sat back in anticipation of an ass kicking. About 15 minutes later I was not even close to as high as I had thought I’d be. I decided to walk across the street and get a pizza. By the time I got to the pizza place, I was RIPPED. I walked in and the dude that works there (we are sort of friends) looked at me and just started laughing. Said I looked “crisp”. –Chubbs

HC Remedies is known for their 707 strains. At least they were until they closed down the other day (I am still trying to get some information before posting an update). 707 Diablo Kush lived up to their reputation, sort of.

From: HC Remedies (Dispensary)

Grade: A-

Type: Indica

Price: $55/8th, $200/Half, $400/Ounce

Looks: Some small and some medium size green nugs that had a bit of a yellow tint to them.

Smell: Like some real fire. Strong signature Kush smell.

Taste: Very strong menthol taste with almost as strong an after taste.

Buzz Type: Hard hitting Kush/Indica buzz. Another forehead warmer.

Buzz Length: Medium. I kept finding myself heading back to the bong a little earlier than normal.

Overall: Of the 2 Kush varieties I picked up, 707 Diablo and 90210 OG the 90210 was definitely better. But had I not known about the 90210, I’d of been happy with the 707 Diablo.

Buzz Report: Mixed up a little "salad bowl" with some 707 Diablo Kush, 90210 OG Kush and a little Bubba Oil. WOW! Talk about a very heavy indica buzz. I could barely keep my eyes open and it was barely 2:00 in the afternoon! –Chubbs

Is it just me or is everything in Beverly Hills just a little bit nicer? I got some 90210 OG Kush from HC Remedies recently that was some of the stickiest weed I have had in a while.

Grade: A+

Type: Indica

Price: $55/8th, $200/Half Ounce, $400/Ounce

Looks: Huge chunky nuggets of green gold.

Smell: VERY dank kush smell. Rich aroma.

Taste: Strong thick woodsy smoke. Bit of a "green" flavor.

Buzz Type: Immediate heavy indica buzz as you take your first hit. Everything after that is icing on the cake.

Buzz Length: Long. 2 fat wake-n-bake tokes kept me pretty stoned all morning.

Overall: After handling 90210 OG Kush your finger tips are coated with sticky resin. A bonus in my opinion. One of the stronger varieties of OG Kush that I have smoked. A Top Pick for sure.

Buzz Report: Every time I broke up a pile of 90210 OG Kush I ended up leaving at least 1 hit on the table for later. I just kept getting sufficiently high from my 1st 2 or 3 rips. –Chubbs
