Name: OG Bubba Kush

Looks: Nice dense little nuggets covered in red hairs and crystals.

Smell: First whiff gives an impression of an earthy smell followed by a biting almost bitter end.

Taste: The taste is velvety smooth.  Full rich smoke yet not so much that you have to cough.  Light earthy taste.

Buzz Type: STRONG!  After the first hit…I had to sit down, and was stuck there for the duration.

Buzz Length: Medium.  The buzz length wasn’t too bad.  Super high for about half hour to forty-five minutes and completely straight again in two hours.  Weird how it just dropped off, high one minute…straight the next.  Ha!

Overall: After a crazy day at work I was just looking forward to getting home and relaxing.  Walked in and the wife told me she had a surprise…and handed me her cute little pink glass filled with some sweet looking herb.  Took a big ‘ole toke…held it…exhaled…and then I had to sit down!  OMG…it took just a few seconds after I exhaled for the "head pressure" to come on like a wave.  For lack of a better way to describe it, let’s just say it felt like my brain was in a vise!

Hit number two was like amnesia.  Forgot all about work, forgot all the stresses…even forgot all about the soda in my hand until I almost dropped it!  Ha!  Spent the next half hour looking out off the balcony at the swaying palm trees and thinking.  The buzz is very contemplative and goes great with some good tunes. 

I’d give OG Bubba Kush a big ‘ole THUMBS UP!  Well worth the cash!  –menu4twenty

Looks: Just about perfect. When I think of what a kind indica nug should look like this is what comes to mind. Frosty, lime green, a little purple and lots of flowers.

Smell: Like a freshly rained on pine forest.

Taste: As smooth as can be. Very minty flavor when inhaling that turns a little skunky when exhaling.

Buzz Type: Very intense head high right away followed up by an overwhelming body tingle. Very mellowing

Buzz Length: Long. Normal session keeps you very high for at least 2 hours, usually longer.

Overall: With so many dispensaries offering L.A. Confidential, I get really excited when I find a version that was grown with love as this definitely was.

Buzz Report: I ended up going back to Herbal Solutions the next morning and was lucky enough to get another quarter. I smoked this bud and this bud only for a good 4 days straight.  –Chubbs

While cleaning out my reviews file I just came across some pictures I took using a few different settings on my camera.

A few of the close up pics were taken with the camera looking through a big drafting magnifying glass that I have.

Herbal Solutions – One of the medical marijuana dispensaries that I frequent most. Mainly because it’s close to my house.

OG Kush – I have no idea exactly where this strain originated but I do know that when grown correctly it is incredibly powerful.

Cracked Kush – I really like the the name Cracked Kush. Hopefully someone will stabilize this strain as I think it has serious potential.

Name: Platinum Grape Ape x True Og Kush

Looks: Very colorful buds. Lime green flowers with both green and purple leaves that are wrapped in bright orange hairs.

Smell: Fruity with a little kush mixed in. Not too much grape surprisingly.

Taste: Nice and simple. Looking at the buds I was expecting an explosion of flavor but it was just he opposite. Very smooth smoke.

Buzz Type: Right away I needed to sit down after standing up to exhale. Very good indica buzz felt mostly in the body.

Buzz Length: Medium. I took 3 big tokes and was baked for about an hour and a half. Had it been longer I probably would of given Platinum Grape Ape x True OG Kush an A+.

Overall: A great combination of strains went into producing a fine specimen in my opinion. I have not seen it on any menu’s since which leads me to believe it was a growers test or experiment.

Buzz Report: I really enjoyed the high I got from Platinum Grape Ape x True OG Kush. It was on of those highs where all you want to do is eat and sleep. Perfect for a rainy day.  –Chubbs

Platinum OG Kush – A cousin to the strain reviewed. I am not sure how closely related though.

True OG Kush – Take a look at the other half of the genetics. This is a strong indica that warms the forehead nicely.

Orgasmic OG Kush – With a name like this I was expecting an incredibly strong, very heavy indica buzz. I was not disappointed.

Looks: The best word I can think of to describe these 2 little nugs is ’sappy’. Man they were sticky.

Smell: Typical Kush smell. Menthol with a hint of fuel.

Taste: Nice and smooth. Thick resiny tasting smoke. Definitely know you’re getting high as you exhale.

Buzz Type: Fast acting indica buzz that is felt mostly in the body. Very relaxing.

Buzz Length: Long. I smoked close to the entire gram and ended up passing out. Woke up almost 3 hours later and was still stoned.

Overall: A great strain that I probably would have given an A+ to had I bought an 1/8th. I just have a feeling the buds in an 1/8th would have been perfect.

Buzz Report: After smoking a bunch of Purple OG Kush through my bong, I rolled up a fatty and burned it right away. After that it was lights out. When I woke up not only was I still nice and high, but man was I hungry. I ended up just devastating an entire box of Crunch Berries.  –Chubbs

707 OG Kush – Not sure if it’s really from the 707 area but it definitely smokes like a champ from what I read.

Hindu Kush – One of the few Kush varieties I smoked while in Amsterdam for the 2008 Cannabis Cup. Was pretty stony.

Cotton Candy Kush – A great name for this very sticky kush sample. Vaporizer did a great job with this review for sure.

Name: True OG Kush

Looks: The best word to describe these nugs is ‘chunky’. Very big, tight buds with way more buds then leaves. Small clusters of short orange hairs throughout.

Smell: Like gas mixed with a bit of Pine Sol. Very distinct.

Taste: Smooth. Each hit seemed to taste a little more like Kush than the last.

Buzz Type: Very fast, very hard hitting sedative type buzz that pinned me to the couch.

Buzz Length: Long. After 2 fat bong tokes I was high for over 2 hours.

Overall: True OG Kush lived up to both it’s name and reputation this time. I was very impressed with this bud all the way around.

Buzz Report: I was using indicas as sleep aids a while back as an experiment. True OG Kush proved to be very good at helping stay asleep throughout the night. Very good bud in my opinion.  –Chubbs

Name: Orgasmic OG Kush

Looks: Very tight lime green buds. Most of the nugs were shaped like miniature pine cones.

Smell: Rich pine smell mixed with a fantastic kush aroma. Great smelling bud for sure.

Taste: Harsh smoke that had a hardcore resin flavor and had me coughing like crazy.

Buzz Type: Great heavy eyed indica buzz with an insanely heavy comedown. Great for insomnia.

Buzz Length: Medium. After only 2 bong hits I was nice and baked for almost 2 hours.

Overall: If Orgasmic OG Kush had that extra layer of trichomes that a lot of good kush’s have it would received an A+ for sure. That being said, I still really liked it.

Buzz Report: Orgasmic OG Kush is one of those strains that surprises you so much that you have to go back the next day and get some more. Fortunately for me they had some left.   –Chubbs

Name: High Times Purple Kush

Looks: If it was not called ‘Purple Kush’ I’d say decent but because it is, I am going to say it looks nothing like it should. Not even close.

Smell: There was there typical/signature kush smell with a hint of fuel.

Taste: Very green, fresh taste. Definitely not cured long enough.

Buzz Type: Quick hitting indica buzz that gave me some good munchies. Eyes were pretty blazed and the comedown was not too bad for an indica.

Buzz Length: Short. I was high for a little over an hour.

Overall: This was some decent bud. I’d say it was worth $45/8th at most. Why it was being sold as “High Times Purple Kush” is beyond me.

Buzz Report: After smoking almost and entire gram I was not even close to as high as I thought I would/should be. High Times Purple Kush was so different than I thought it would be that I am hoping it was actually mislabeled.  –Chubbs

Name: Strawberry Kush

Looks: Very frosty blonde and light green nugs with well matured trichomes and clumps of wild pistils.

Smell: A bit of a fruity/strawberry smell but for the most part it smelled like some danky kush.

Taste: Just like the smell there was a bit of strawberry and a ton of kush. Very nice indeed.

Buzz Type: The buzz surprised me with how energetic it was. I was not bouncing of the walls but I was not locked on the couch either. Nice middle of the road type buzz.

Buzz Length: Long. The best thing about the buzz was how long it lasted. After 2 nice bong hits I was high for a good 2.5+ hours. Solid buzz too.

Overall: A great kush strain that I wish I would have bought an ounce of. Everything from the smell to the taste to the buzz was right on.

Buzz Report: After planning on smoking a couple grams in 1 session I was down for the count after just 2 hits. Well not really but you know what I mean. Strawberry Kush is a great strain of marijuana.  –Chubbs

Name: Platinum Cheese

Looks: I only bought a gram so the buds were little popcorn size buds with short, light orange hairs.

Smell: Typical cheesy smell. Was neither better or worse than normal Cheese.

Taste: Very light, non-expanding smoke that was very easy to inhale deep into my lungs.

Buzz Type: Immediate, active sativa buzz that could of been a bit stronger.

Buzz Length: Medium. 2 hours.

Overall: I am sure that the bigger buds that come in the 1/8’s are much more potent. It was easy to see the potential this strain has.

Buzz Report: The whole gram was smoked in 1 sitting and to be honest, it left me wanting to smoke something else that was a little more potent.  –Chubbs
