Type: Sativa

Genetics: Blue Dream x Maui Wowie

Price: On special for $40/8th

Looks: The buds have a light-to-dark range hue, and are short and compact. I’m guessing the bud structure is due to the Maui Wowie and not the Blue Dream.

Smell: This strain actually smells sort of cheesy, but I remember on the first day this bud it had a very dark green luscious smell to it, a very organic earthy type of smell.

Taste: Again, a very earthy, rich, green taste. I’m guessing this is attributed to the Maui Wowie?

Buzz Type: The Tsunami delivers a great sativa-heavy effect which is great in the mornings or midday. It’s a crisp, clear, motivating high.

Buzz Length: Medium. I’ve been smoking this Tsunami for some time now and each smoke lasts for quite a while, upwards of an hour.

Overall: I would rate this bud as an A because of its great sativa-dominant genetics, great look, great smell, and because of the amazing deal that CPA offered it for on the daily deal! –omonibo32

Price: $300/ounce

Look: Nice and healthy green colour brightening to a nice golden colour in the center. Very consistent hair colouration throughout the buds and between each fold you pry apart (as you can see, I pulled apart the last one for the photos) you find swollen trichs further suggesting a nicely mature specimen of cannabis.

Smell: Your typical OG Kush smell that has a warm earthy tone to it, brightened up with a very slight citrus undertone. Now, the only thing this could be compared to, at all, is stepping out of the cottage on a cool clean morning up north or mid-winter and taking a nice deep breath of clean and crisp unaltered air.

Taste: Very nice and clean, something that you wouldn’t want to put anything else but glass to it or vaporize, but in extreme
circumstances only the finest papers should be used. Otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the freshness of the flavour, it has a very soft clean and fresh, for lack of a better word kushy/earthy flavour that has an almost menthol freshness to it.

Buzz Type: As clean as the smell and taste, the buzz is right in line offering a very focused and clear head, but dishing out the sedating qualities of a good indica. This one really hit nicely, pinning a smile, but didn’t seem to build up to anything really intense.

Buzz Length: Long – 2 1/2 – 3 hrs.

Overall: Just a pleasure to smoke and definitely has me on the look out for more organic strains. It didn’t seem to have the devastation that a solid OG usually offers, especially for the price, but it stood up with the buzz length and stood out with an incredibly fresh and clean smell, taste and buzz that was certainly unique. –m1ke

Looks: From first glance you are blinded by lime green calyxes with extreme amounts of untouched clear/hazey trichomes, along with an abundance of long rust colored hairs. With proper sunlight you will be amazed with the amount of shine the clusters of trichomes on the long fluffy calyxes produce.

Smell: Classic Sour Diesel. Smells like a jar full of rotting skunk road kill with diesel spilled all over it. One of the most strongest odors of cannabis I’ve encountered. Smell will penetrate a room in minutes without being taken out of the medicine bottle. Some will say the smell is almost too strong to be around.

Taste: Exactly the same as described as the smell when used in a vaporizer. The taste of a skunk’s rear end will not leave your taste buds for awhile, along with a horrible musty fuel flavor.

Buzz Type: Incredible uplifting effect. Your head is buzzing with a powerful energetic, uplifting, anti-anxiety, mood enhancing high that leaves your body feeling like you’re floating on a cloud for about 2-3 hours. With a high tolerance, only .2 grams was needed out of a vaporizer to feel extremely medicated. No comedown with this high along with a feeling of wanting to get up and do activities.

Buzz Length: Long. 2-3 hours.

Overall: An extremely well grown medicine that works well for anxiety and depression. Works well as a wake and bake and all throughout the day, although not recommended for nighttime medicine. One of my most favorite strains that I will always keep a small stash of to break out when things need to be spiced up. This strain is truly addicting in every aspect. –Griffsta

OK, here’s some trivia for you: The name Oklahoma (where this strain is from) is derived from the Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning “red people”. Do you think this had anything to do with the naming of this strain?

Type: Hybrid – I don’t know the exact genetics of it but I would say it was almost 100% sativa.

Price: $60/8th, $400/ounce

Looks: The nuggets were lime green with wild red hairs absolutely covered in THC, I’m telling you completely dusted. The bag had tons of golden reddish kief stuck to it.

Smell: The nuggets reeked of skunky, fruity deliciousness.

Taste: The weed tasted like the most amazing fruit ever…a combo of bananas and every delicious tart fruit.

Buzz Type: The high was INCREDIBLE. The high was cerebral and uplifting. The most intense racing body high…with a plastered face that when you move it with your finger it moves back like elastic.

Buzz Length: Long. The high lasted for a good 2 to 3 hours with no harsh comedown.

Overall: Hands down my favorite strain ever….the high and taste we’re perfect for me! –magicpandakush

Looks: Brown hairs with green leaves varying in color from mid to light green.

Smell: Spicy with a mix of pine.

Taste: Sweet but also with a hint of pine, just like the smell.

Buzz Type: Perfect mix between a body high and a cerebral high. From what I’ve heard this bud is supposed to be heavily body but turned out that it was both.

Buzz Length: Long – 2.5-3 hours.

Overall: My favorite part about the Alaskan Thunder Fuck is that it has the perfect mix of Sativa and Indica traits. It’s great for those days you can’t decide which kind of bud you want, so you get the best of both worlds. I was in my own world in my thoughts but still here on Earth to watch a grow tape my friend put in.

There was a quick and easy comedown, but it did make me a little sleepy. It wasn’t to the point that it made me couch-locked though. This is probably a bud that can be smoked whenever one likes to smoke and still be okay but I suggest in the early evening. The clock’s always at 4:20 right? –d4nknugs

I’m so confused. Just from the bricky and stemmy looks, I would say this was fairly priced….maybe even a tad too expensive. But if you loved it then it was worth it. And since when does a sativa have all these body characteristics? –Mrs. Chubbs

Name: Purple Dragon, also known as Apalala

From: Harborside Health Center San Jose (Dispensary – San Jose)

Grade: A+++

Type: Hybrid – I believe it’s primarily sativa dominant

Genetics: I honestly do not know. However, based on my quick research I found that it is a hybrid cross-breed of several different strains including Purple Haze and BC Bud.

Price: $55/8th

Looks: Very sticky. The particular batch that I acquired were dank and dense nugs graciously covered with red/purplish green haired pistils and crystals that glittered under the light.

Smell: Pure potent, yet sweet, fruity and a very inviting smell. I actually somewhat reminisced upon smelling this particular strain as it reminded me of the original/old school grape flavored Bubbalicious Gum from the early 90s (circa 1990 – 1993).

Taste: Extremely smooth. To put it metaphorically, it was like smoking an aged yet properly cured wine. Leaves a sweet, pungent aftertaste on the tip of your tongue that makes you want it even more.

Buzz Type: Incredibly uplifting with an immediate impact. It will shed new light to your entire overall perspective on things. In a good way, of course. It will certainly get your nerves working to a very creative state that I cannot quite put into words. Now, I must say that my system has a pretty high tolerance but this wonderful strain surpassed that and just blew me away. Completely.

In fact, I’m going to describe in meticulous detail what I experienced just so the readers can somewhat envision the breathtaking experienced I endured with Purple Dragon. Let me start by saying that I only took a total of four good blunt hits and I was beyond good. A few minutes after my second hit, I already started having that tingly, good, and relaxing feeling that started to evenly spread all over my body. Thus, at this point I already knew I was in for some good time in cloud nine.

It took me a while to finally manage my third hit and shortly thereafter, I felt like all I needed was a cape and I could conquer the world. Yes, it was THAT GOOD. Actually thinking about it now, I should have probably stopped after my third toke but I hesitantly refused and took one more and after my fourth and last hit, I was beyond good. I mean I got to a state to where I could literally hear my hair growing (word to Grandma’s Boy).

Then just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, my analytical and creativity senses within me all of a sudden became enhanced. To the point where I started to critique my thoughts while laughing uncontrollably and being completely relaxed ALL at the same time. I know this sounds almost next to impossible but believe me, the feeling was one that I haven’t felt or experienced before with any other strain.

This, by far, has provided me with one, if not, the best experience I have ever had. Now the last significant effect on me that makes me definitely consider this easily my top 3 strain all time was how it extensively heightened my taste buds. I know that any and all remarkable strains will eventually give you the munchies and practically anything you eat will taste better. The only difference with Purple Dragon is it makes it even that much better. It will definitely give you the munchies in a very good, enjoyable way. The spaghetti and garden salad that my wife made me instantly went from very good to unbelievably scrumptious and to die for.

Buzz Length: Long and satisfying. I recall taking my first hit a little after 7 in the evening and I was good until I eventually knocked out around 10:30ish. Needless to say, this is not for your average novice user.

Overall: As detailed as I try to put it with everything I noted above, I’m still lost for words on how to perfectly describe this wonderful and awe-inspiring strain. I mean even if I were to describe it as legendary, I feel that it would still be an understatement. Once you’ve had this strain, I assure you that you would find it difficult to compare it to any other.

Every time I acquire my meds, I always make sure that I end up with some good/high end quality strains. However, simply put, this one was just off the charts. From the looks, smell, taste, and buzz type, it’s easily and definitely an A+++ all the way across the board. I think that they couldn’t have referred or named this strain any better than just simply PURPLE DRAGON. It’s an absolutely perfect strain. Period. Bar none! –KNOWN 2 OWN

Smell: Unforgettable, sweet yet sour, will make you want to sneeze.

Taste: If you have ever had a whole orange shoved down your throat, you would know the taste. Very pleasing and incredibly smooth.

Buzz Type: Makes me what to go explore the Earth in one day. A day full of joy and energy after a bowl.

Buzz Length: Long. 2-3 hours. The high gets you after about 2 hits and keeps you going. The comedown is great and leaves you feeling refreshed.

Overall: By far one of the best strains I have encountered. –glovemaster

Looks: Light green and dark green with lots of orange hairs weaving in and out of the perfect nugs. The orange hairs really stick out when ground up. Almost like orange yarn. Looks like the buds were rolled in sugar. Got sooooo much kief from this bud.

Smell: Like walking through Willy Wonka’s garden, I would smell my jar and instantly have a smile. A little sweetness but mostly floral.

Taste: Thick flower taste with sweetness coming through at the back of my throat. Pretty much matches the smell. J ust floral and sweet.

Buzz Type: Happy! Very uplifting and very social. Had a shit load of great conversations while sky high and smiling. Smoked this stuff all day and all night, never got tired of it. Barely noticed a comedown.

Buzz Length: Medium-long. 1-2 Hours.

Looks: Super sticky, not too dense, broke up really nicely.

Smell: Really fruity and a little sweet, smells like ripe pineapple and grapefruit.

Taste: The taste is absolutely great, one of the best tasting strains I’ve tried. It tastes just like it smells, just a little spicy.

Buzz Type: Mind blower. Relaxing, yet energetic. Really big head buzz.

Buzz Length: Long, about two and a half hours, no crash.

Overall: My absolute favorite wake and bake bud, a joint of this in the morning made my whole day better. This bud was even uplifting after the high wore down, I still felt amazing. Definitely a favorite. –MiTTENHiGH
