It’s a natural progression that any successful website goes through. As you grow, you encounter people who for whatever reason decide they need to disrupt the natural flow of the site.
This can be done many ways and lately MR has had it’s share of people stop by and leave what I consider to be spam’ish comments.
Now by Spam I am not only talking about the normal BS that my script filters out, but also the real people that decide they need to “go off” and post really disrespectful comments.
Get it straight, you are not allowed to belittle other members or use vulgar language when when being critical.
I don’t mind differing opinions as long as you are respectful about the way you voice them.
That being said let me tell you that of the 20 or so people I have banned recently, just about every single one of them has sent me an email asking to be un-banned. And my answer has been the same to each one, no.
If you get banned from MR it is a life time ban, period. You won’t even be able to see MR, you will get a “you do not have permission” page.
Also, I don’t just ban you from MR, I ban you from viewing ANY of my 250+ sites.
Trust me when I tell you that you most likely have at least 1 or 2 of my other sites in your bookmarks and will be pissed when you get denied access to your favorite adult site or your favorite video game forum.
And for those of you who have been given a pass (you know who you are), 1 more unnecessary comment and you’re done. –Chubbs

@valluco: Here’s my opinion on cursing.
If you are going to curse, you are going to curse and I understand that sometimes certain words really help when it comes to making a point.
But when you choose to degrade other members by using such profane and degrading words/terms that it offends people, I gotta step in. Arguing is one thing, personal attacks are another.
Plus, you have to look at it from my end. Yes I keep MR advertisement free and will never sell ads but that does not mean that I am not working hard to partner up with other sites/companies for other reasons. And who wants to do business with a site that is just covered in profanity?
You must remove those comments fast because I seem to remember reading only good comments on the pages I’ve viewed. But either way I agree we need to keep this place chilled out and friendly

@Jam: I rarely remove comments. I do go in from time to time and change certain curse words that just are not needed.
Only time I delete a comment is when I ban the author.

Agreed. Some swear words help project the feeling or concept. But insulting others and putting others down will not help progress cannabis. Lets leave that crap for myspace and what not. Chubbs is working his ass off to give a quality site for reference and what not, lets not F@#$CK that up. Sorry couldn’t help it..haha!

good news man, i hate cursing people and flaming and all that shit… we all need to have respect and chill out and learn stuff by reading the things… if people are in a bad mood they should not read anything and flame, you dont like it, get the hell off the site just let the serious people share reviews, insights, opinions and stuff…
