AK-47 is a great strain for growers with a little bit of experience. I gave it a try when I first started and had no luck. A few yeas later, after gaining more experience I tried again and ended up with some great bud that looked a lot like this AK-47 from MR member ‘Heavyhitter88‘.

Name: AK-47
From: Private Dealer
Grade: A-
Type: Hybrid
Price: $40/8th
Looks: A picture never really captures the true freshness of a freshly cured nug. I took these pictures after I had cured the nugs for 2 weeks in a mason jar. First time a dealer let me personally cut nugs from the vine. Dank light green, fluffy nuggets covered in orange hairs and sparkling with dense, tan trichomes.
Smell: Like fresh weed, no other way to describe it. Imagine fresh hay combined with a slight fruity scent. Then add the tang of a hint of citrus.
Taste: Phenomenal. Tasted a lot headier than it smelled. Definitely went down smoothly and left a pleasant leafy aftertaste.
Buzz Type: Heavy body high, I had this for about 2 months and would only smoke it in the morning or if I wanted to be awake for a night of partying. Sank into the body and just kept it floating in the clouds. I’d smoke this after practice and my muscles would relaxed and loose within minutes.
Buzz Length: Long. Smoke 1 bowl and I would be good for the night. Smoke a joint and be good for the day. Smoke a blunt and feel invincible.
Overall: I really with that I had some AK-47 again but my boy stopped the crop cycle until things settled down. I had smoked some other so-called “AK-47” before, but it had nothing on this homegrown, just absolutely no comparison. If you wanted to get seriously high, and not have a pot hangover, the smoke AK-47 and fly up to the clouds.
Conclusion: In lieu if a sunny day, I would smoke this and my day would suddenly turn bright. This will forever go down in my books as one of the best, greenest, dankest buds I have ever been blessed to smoke. –Heavyhitter88

Sounds like you were fortunate enough to find a strain that really hit you just right. I’d consider yourself lucky. I too have had this feeling and it’s great!

ive had a similar experience with ak i had had batch that was ok pretty good but noting special. then ive had ak that knocked my socks off.
Exceptional photos and review.
If this herb was so astounding then why did you only rank it A-? What qualities did it lack?
AK has treated me very well in the past. Im waiting till I see a great batch at the store so I can pick some up.
@Vaporizer: Same here. For some reason, all the AK-47 and the Cheese I have seen lately is mid-grade at best.
2 weeks to cure from chopping it thats nt curing it thats drying it!
i have bud that matches this description almost precisely, and here in jacksonville nobody even knows its ak-47.
with all the black people here [no offense], everyone goes by the logic of “regs”, “mids”, “crippy”, “dro”. whether its banana kush, ak-47, or big bud youre going to buy it as ‘crippy’ or ‘dro’. no one ever bothers to figure out the strains or even make up a name for the strain here.
Thats how it usualy is unless your buying from a grower,a nerd (no offense) or a dispensory. As long as its killer herb who cares unless there are strains that realy dont mend with you then it would be a problema and indics. If you like name brand grow ur own or move to a legal state. I had been smoking for years but before moving to Cali I barely knew the diferance between sativa and indica now Im growing and doing well especialy for my first time.
sometimes a bud needs a little drying before its 100% perfect to smoke. after a week of “curing”/ “drying” whatever, it was still too dank to light, so i left it for another week, when it had that perfect combo of dankness/crispness.
that is some killah budz my friend.
very frosty.=D
how can i get my hands on the ak
