When I was up north recently I had some Afgoo hash that was so good I was wishing I had the bud. Well Drewzilla484 was lucky enough to come across some and he sent us these pictures.

Looks: Very dense and dark but so covered with trichomes it appears light.
Smell: Woodsy, skunk.
Taste: Very earth taste. Piney with some skunk aftertaste.
Buzz Type: Mostly indica qualities with a very heavy couch lock “stoned” feeling.
Buzz Length: Medium.
Overall: This is a strain I sought out for a while. I was unable to procure some locally but was lucky enough to sample this from a friend. Afgoo lived up to it’s reputation, 2 bowls had me more relaxed that I have felt in a long time. I can see why this is a favorite among medical marijuana patients. I highly recommend Afgoo to anyone who enjoys an indica high. –Drewzilla484

i’ve been lucky enough to stumble upon two large batches of afgoo in the last year and a half here in austin. it was all i smoked for a good two weeks, definitely in my top five strains.

Sorry to hear that. You must have gotten a sub-par batch. Afgoo, usually but apparently not always, is a top notch strain. You should give it another try if you see it on the menu again.
Nah it was good,but not the narcotic couchlocker that this review leads on. You can look on Chubbs nuggetry menu it says a fun type buzz,and I agree just not the buzz that is described here.
Afghooey is one of the 2 strains i will always grow(the other is Grape Ape)…its forsure Sativa Dominant(70%Maui Haze X 30%Afghani#1)It just has a Very Strong Trippy high that some people confuse for an Indica just because of the Strength of the high alone, its what i like to call a “Headie” or “Trippy” High, some people seem to like to use those words to describe an Indica but i prefer to use “Couch Locked” to describe that Heavy, Eye Closing, Wrapped in a Blanket, Stuck on the Couch, Almost Narcotic Opiod/pain killer like feeling that a nice Indica Dominant gives you…Afghooey Should Smell Like A Pineapple!!! but needs to be dried almost 100% before being cured to keep the smell it has while growing or it gets a real Wet Dinge smell to it eventually…its Pineapple Aroma & Flavor is one of the reasons i like to grow it besides the Strong High & Beautiful Large Crystal Structure, Although It seems most of the Afghooey that i have seen & smelled (including the stuff we currently have at our club Redding Wellness in Redding,Ca)had that old wet dinge smell to it because the people who grow it have not figured out that its one of those strains that looses its fresh growing smell if allowed to stay to wet, my suggestion would be to fully dry out your Afghooey Before its put in Jars to Cure after harvest…Some people dont like fully dry cannabis, & there are strains that are the opposite & need to remain a little wet when put in jars to cure or take well to being re-constituted with a bit of moist something(i prefer taking a small bud & adding a few drops of water if this is nessicary or a piece of moist paper towel…i would never use a piece of citrus rind or moistened bread because it changes the aroma of the final cure)…well thats my 2cents, all i can say is if you have smelled Afghooey while fresh or with a very Pineapple smell&flavor then you know what its spossed to smell/taste like(this also makes it one of few strains that Vaporise well), if it smells dingey and wet please dont let this ruin the strain for you because it was not fully dried before being put into jars & its Pineapple Smell & Flavor is one of the 3 factors that make it such a special & sought after strain i would even still try it out because the high is also one of the other factors that people love about it…just sucks you can experience the flavor to go with it, but look at those crystals arnt they beautiful =^) well hope everyone gets to experience this strain at its best because you will forever want it around…oh & in response to Sassy, yes Afgoo & “The Goo” or “Goo” is usually Afghooey but i would think GUI is either Something Ultimate Indica like L.U.I. or “Legends Ultimate Indica”…but if it said Afghooey X King Kush also then maybe thats what they called it “GUI” like pronounced “Goo-ey” Afghooey is a Clone only so would obviously be the female bud that was impregnated by male King Kush Pollen…& if it smells like its mother like a Pineapple while blooming then i suggest you try fully Drying it before puting it in Jars to Cure(sealing in a jar to get to the moistness re-distributed/evened out & burping the jar untill the desired amount of moisture remains) well anyone who took the time to read my rant i really appreciate it…enjoy your medicine & if you ever come up to Redding(FarNorCal) stop in our club Redding Wellness & we will set you up with one of our Many Top Quality strains or Edibles…thanks again…Kris

had some goo for like 2 mths str8, i actually got tired of it cuz it was around so much but now i miss it
goo…I kind of love it, and kind of dont…I get tired of it, and am not a HUGE goo taste fan…but…there is something about the medical aspect of it, it just…its like lavender in its relaxing ways, but then it also has such a couchlock..To say OG Kush is beter…well, maybe for some, depends on what you are going for.
Question – still learning. Is Afgoo also known as Alfgooey? Growing Afgooey X King Kush. I cannot find a review on Afgooey – just itself. Obviouly wanting feedback. Also does afgooey go by GUI (which was on the label when bought).

Loved loved loved it, had a g about 2-3 months ago and gives kind of a “drunk” feeling almost at times, with my coordination going out ( it was the end of the night), I really enjoyed the strong afghan body high along with the powerful sativa boost it gives. Kind of narcotic, fantastic for pain relief and sleep, overall teriffic.
I’m going to agree with lawless, I’ve had this strain by several growers and it has always hit me in the head like a sativa should. Not my favorite smoke but certainly interesting.

I just got some of this earlier today, and at first I was a skeptic! But now im convinced its a solid strain. I smoked some while out today and it hit me in the head, then I baked some in a pizza and it was an amazing body high. cant go wrong with this one!
im in the north florida region and i swear i has some afgoo right before 420 that resembled this to a T, and i loved it
Afghan goo is a really good strain if you love a good indica high. It’s also actually a pretty common strain found around the United States, and I think that is because it’s just a good balanced strain that nobody can go wrong with.
This stuff is so sticky I love it. You really get a steal picking it up for $15 a gram. Around here you’d be lucky to get a .8 of it for $20.

Grass Valley staple crop! Just got some goo the other day its been years since I have seen it. (not because it wasnt around but because market was saturated with it) It is a good switch up from smoking purps/ and kushs mainly. If you ever get burned out on a strain smoke this for a few days then switch back and feel the difference!
I bought this strain once and it was seriously the worst bud I’ve ever tasted. Granted, it got me very high, but it wasn’t worth it. The aftertaste killed the first 15-20% of my high and I couldn’t get rid of the taste sooner! The worst is when I drank orange juice to kill the bud taste… but the combination was awful and I regret it ever since. Definitely won’t be buying this strain again.
One of the greatest strains of all times. I thought this was an indica dominant because i was couch locked.
The Goo I had was not a couch lock at all. In fact, it was pretty much gone in an hour so very short acting. Give me a good Kush any day.
